Go Girl to the Winner's Circle
There were no scratches, and the rain was falling. Lady Katfish (Exchange Rate - Touchallthebases by Grand Slam) was favored, and Irish Presence (Midnight Lute - Proper Form by Deputy Minister) was 7-1. She's a Go Girl (Silver Train - Cindarella Girl by Behrens) broke best and went to the lead. The favorite was off to a good start as well, and set after She's a Go Girl. Also up close was Truly Beautiful (Jump Start - Hey Beautiful by Cee's Tizzy). Irish Presence was at the back early. She's a Go Girl continued on top, pressed by Lady Katfish, with Truly Beautiful a little rank on the rail. She's a Go Girl was still in command as they went into the turn, with Lady Katfish still right with her. Irish Presence was starting to roll, picking off rivals. She's a Go Girl could not be caught, coming home 1 3/4 lengths in front. However, Irish Presence was moving better than anyone else late, picking up second. Favorite Lady Katfish had to settle for third, with Joeandbetty'sbaby (Yes It's True - A Flicker of Light by Flying Continental), who was also at the back early, taking fourth. Watch the Replay.
