Big Boys in Town (Lydgate - Twinkling Rose by Chester House) was favored, Cajun Monkey (The Green Monkey - Free Question by Unbridled) was 26-1, but he looked good in the prelims. Country Saint (Saint Afleet - Country Jove by Northern Jove) reared in the gate before the start, and stumbled at the break. Successful Story (Successful Appeal - Top Story by Carson City) came out slowly. The others were away well. Carson City Cat (Big Top Cat - Lovely Fine by Carson City) made the lead from his outside post. Country Saint chased in second, with Collin Time (Lion Tamer - Nokia by Theatrical (IRE)), Six K Vow (Private Vow - Winning Lady by Boyish Charm), and Cajun Monkey all close up. Carson City Cat still held the lead as they entered the stretch, but Country Saint was starting to rally. He rolled on by the pacesetter, and went on to register a  2 1/2-length win. Six K Vow came on to just grab second from Cajun Monkey, who finished a much-improved third. Early leader Carson City Cat was fourth, and Successful Story recovered from his starting beginning to finish fifth. Watch the Replay.
