Samui Went

There were no scratches on the Polytrack. Debuting Marvelous Marcy (Unbridled's Song - Awesome Chic by Awesome Again) was the 5-2 favorite. Rowdy Friends (Henrythenavigator - King Shooting Star by Storm Cat) was 12-1, but she looked decent on the track. Sheryls Christmas (Killenaule - Home for Christmas by Home At Last) broke well, but Go Samui (Henny Hughes - Smooth and Classy by Ogygian) captured the early lead. Forbidden (Holy Bull - My McIntosh by Pulpit), Aspergia (Langfuhr - Smart Society by Beau Genius), and Belle Natalie (First Defence - Yankee Belle by Yankee Gentleman) were chasing. Marilyn Monroan (Tapit - Summer Scene by Belong to Me) made up some ground as well, but was running wide. Go Samui continued to show the way, building up a several length advantage. Belle Natalie came up the rail, claiming second, and cutting Go Samui's lead in half. But, the latter filly had to much of a head start and she crossed the line 1 1/2 lengths in front. Belle Natalie was more than 2 lengths better than third-place Forbidden. Next came Marilyn Monroan, and Rowdy Friends, who was moving well late for fifth. Watch the Replay.

King of the Track

The turf was firm, and only the AEs were left out. Firster Market Outlook (Lemon Drop Kid - Visions of Clarity (IRE) by Sadler's Wells) was the lukewarm 3-1 favorite. Harrythenavigator (Henrythenavigator - Confidentially by Saratoga Six) was 10-1. The start was good. Four or five of the runners went for the lead, including Surfspun (Hard Spun - Surf Light by Malibu Moon), Force Multiplier (Johannesburg - In Escrow by Vindication), Parnelli (Bernardini - Ensenada by Seeking the Gold), Bad Hombre (Sky Mesa - A Little Evil by Deputy Minister), and Kingofalldiamonds (Giant's Causeway - Queenofalldiamonds by Kingmambo). The pair of Surfspun and Parnelli broke out of the pack, pursued by the duo of Kingofalldiamonds and Force Multiplier. Parnelli claimed a clear lead on the turn, as the field began to bunch up. There were still plenty of contenders with chances. Force Multiplier took the first run at Parnelli, and they entered the stretch together. Gaining on them were Kingofalldiamonds and Bad Hombre, and then Forever Thing (Tapit - Liberty Flag by Kingmambo) joined the fun as well on the outside. It was tight at the wire, with Kingofalldiamonds getting the victory by a head over Forever Thing, who was a neck better than Parnelli. Bad Hombre was just another neck back in fourth, followed by Force Multiplier and Market Outlook. Harrythenavigator was never much involved, had to steady, and finished 10th. Watch the Replay.

Denali Thunder (Forest Danger - Follow Your Bliss by Thunder Gulch) outbroke the others, but couldn't clear the field from his outside post. No Distinction (With Distinction - Casting Call by Dynaformer) took advantage of his inside position to grab the early advantage. Midnight Music, Egyptian Warrior (J Be K - Carson Jen by Carson City), and Royal Dehere were chasing. No Distinction and Denali Thunder continued to lead them. Many of the pursuers began to drop back, but Egyptian Warrior was still in the running. He made his move on the turn, and hit the front. He cruised home, crossing the line 3 lengths in front. Tonkawa (War Chant - Blue Lupin by Runaway Groom) finished well on the rail to pick up second, and Hey Leroy (Any Given Saturday - Galashey by Gulch) came from way back for third.
