Too Much Antipathy for Minx

There were no scratches, and the track was fast. Antipathy (A. P. Indy - Love Style by Mr. Prospector) was favored, and Oasis At Midnight (Midnight Lute - Per Se by Deputy Commander) was almost 6-1. The start was good. Distortion (Distorted Humor - Misty Rosette by Stormin Fever) broke on top, but she was passed by Antipathy and Psalm Singer (Tiz Wonderful - Silver Singer by Silver Deputy). Minx (Tapit - Rutledge Affair by Colonial Affair) was also in the early mix. Oasis At Midnight was near the back. Antipathy continued to lead, but Psalm Singer, Distortion, and Minx were sticking with her. Minx went up to take second, and the top pair moved away from the others. Minx fought to the finish, but she could never catch Antipathy, who posted a 1 1/2 length win. It was 7 1/2 lengths back third-place, which was claimed by Oasis At Midnight, who finished well. Believe in the Mythical Man

The turf was firm, and only the AEs were out. Daddy in the Dark (Bernardini - Appealing Zophie by Successful Appeal) was favored, and Fancy Henry (Henrythenavigator - Pete's Fancy by Peteski) was 11-1. The start was decent. Angel de Amour (Bandini - Epitome de Amour by Constant Demand) tried for the lead, but was hampered by his outside post, and settled for pressing early leader Delta Bluesman (Wagon Limit - Smoke Alarm by Darn That Alarm). The next pair were Mythical Man (Broken Vow - Miss Abita by Dixie Union) and Fancy Henry. Angel de Amour took the lead on the turn, but Mythical Man was getting closer. Daddy in the Dark began to emerge from the chasing pack. Mythical Man took command as they went into the final turn. He went on to take it by 4 3/4 lengths. Franky and Jane Upsetting on the Turf

The race was run on yielding turf, so MTO Midnight Rider (Midnight Lute - Ma Kitty by Meadowlake) was left in the barn. The others stayed in. Give Her Space (Divine Park - Amber Room by Tactical Cat) was favored. Fairness (Curlin - No Fair by War Chant) was 5-1. It was a good start. Ruler of My Heart (Ruler's Court - Savannah Rules by Sandpit (BRZ)) broke running, and was up by several lengths early. Miss Chievous Lady (Into Mischief - Patricias Prospect by A. P. Indy) was in pursuit, along with Smart Dancer (Smart Strike - Urbane by Citidancer) and Ship's Telegraph (Student Council - Sails Unfurled by Capote). The pack caught Ruler of My Heart as they entered the stretch. Franky and Jane (Heart of the Storm - Galina by Running Stag) hit the front. Distinct Sparkle (With Distinction - Constant Sparkle by Mr. Sparkles) took a run at her, but came up short, as 39-1 Franky and Jane took it by 2 lengths. Distinct Sparkle fought off Account Activity (Mutakddim - Don't Blame Wayne by Wayne's Crane) for second, with Ship's Telegraph back in fourth. Fairness never really got going, finishing 8th. She may not have cared for the yielding turf. Watch the Replay.

That $575,000 Dunkirk colt is pretty good looking - Really glad Dunkirk held on to that fifth spot - Unbridled's Song still does not have a son who is a top sire, maybe this guy can do it - I like his chances even more than Zensational because although Zensational goes tail female to Myrtlewood, I would take my chances with AP Indy as broodmare sire of a sire over Phone Trick - Also Dunkirk goes tail female to Mystify who is from a powerful family and is 2x2 to Domino
