Irene Outfinishes Another

All seven ran on the Tapeta. Another Flashback (Curlin - Flashy by Wild Again) was favored. The start was good. Onna Bugeisha (First Samurai - Soiree Russe by Nureyev) broke on top. Another Flashback and Defenderoffreedom (Tribal Rule - Oh No It's You by Miswaki) were also quick to begin. Onna Bugeisha took advantage of her rail spot to take the early lead. Another Flashback moved up to press from second, as the top two separated from the others. The others were in a tight pack. Another Flashback took a short lead, as Defenderoffreedom and Deputy Miss (Posse - Miss Quick City by Carson City) advanced. Deputy Miss put her head in front in the stretch, but Another Flashback fought her off. However, she could not hold off Irene's Cherub (Tizbud - Doc's Lil' Angel by Doc's Leader), who was rolling on the outside. She went on to post a 1 1/4 length win.
