Harry Navigates a Win

Street Credit (Street Sense - Adored Slew by Seattle Slew) was scratched, leaving 5 on the fast track. Harrythenavigator (Henrythenavigator - Confidentially by Saratoga Six) was the heavy favorite. Parseghian (Will He Shine - Marinade by Chenin Blanc) stumbled a bit at the start, but recovered and went to the front. Harrythenavigator, Rebel Exchange (Exchange Rate - She's a Rebel Too by Two Punch), and Minecraft (Spring At Last - Woodland Sprite by Woodman) chased after the leader, while Riot Act (Awesome Again - Wicked Sting by Devil His Due) was outrun early. Parseghian continued on top. The first move was made by Rebel Exchange, who came up the inside to grab a short lead. Parseghian was still there, and Harrythenavigator was looming on the outside. Rebel Exchange shook free from Parseghian, but Harrythenavigator was ready to challenge. These two battled to the wire, with Harrythenavigator just getting his neck in front late. Closing well to pick up third was Riot Act, followed by Parseghian and Minecraft. Watch the Replay.

Off the Fence and to the Winner's Circle

The turf was firm, and there were no scratches. Brave Act (Langfuhr - Shield by Rahy) was the tepid favorite, just a few ticks lower than Tribal Dude (Tribal Rule - Ava G by Afternoon Deelites). On the Fence (Henrythenavigator - Seaquoia Blue by Forestry) was 9-1, but made a favorable impression in the prelims. The start was good. King Me (Unusual Heat - Reine des Neiges by Smart Strike) went for the lead, and Art Official (Unusual Heat - Kylie's Art by Storm Cat) soon joined him. They put a bit of distance on the others, who were in a tight bunch. On the Fence had a good spot, not too far off the leaders. As they came down the hill, the top two lost their advantage. Art Official still held the lead, but challengers were coming, including Tribal Dude (Tribal Rule - Ava G by Afternoon Deelites), Brave Act, and On the Fence. Tribal Dude seemed to have the advantage, but On the Fence came between horses to grab the win by a neck over Tribal Dude. Favorite Brave Act had to settle for third, and Art Offical tired a bit to finish fourth. Watch the Replay.

Taboo Winner

There were no scratches, and the track was fast. Midnight Taboo (Langfuhr - Hot Red by Thunder Gulch) was the overwhelming favorite, and Dyker Beach (Curlin - Favorite Feather by Capote) was 7-1. Political Farce (Political Force - Harve de Grace by Boston Harbor) went for the lead, but couldn't clear favorite Midnight Taboo, who was showing speed as well. These two were followed by the trio of Suspicious (Dixie Union - Illicit by Mr. Prospector), Speechmaker (Tiznow - My Trusty Cat by Tale of the Cat), and Moonlite Encounter (Corinthian - Twilight Encounter by Regal Classic). Dyker Beach was near the back early. Midnight Taboo used his inside position to take over the lead as they entered the stretch. Making a move on the outside was Dyker Beach. Also finishing well was Speechmaker. Midnight Taboo had the jump on the others, and came home 3 lengths in front, but Dyker Beach got his neck in front of Speechmaker to claim second. Suspicious was fourth, and Political Farce weakened to 5th. Watch the Replay.
