It's All Relative

All six ran on the fast track. Chili Bean (Double Honor - Mane Desire by Mane Minister) was favored. Also getting play was Crash the Party (Elusive Bluff - My Brent's Diamond by My Mike). Theoryofrelativity (Einstein (BRZ) - Border Bound by Boundary) was 4-1. Heza Royal One (Keyed Entry - Private Princess by Chief's Crown) broke outward and trailed. Morluc'shisrank (Morluc - Lost Her Rank by Lost Soldier) broke on top. He had plenty of pursuers, including Theoryofrelativity, who was on the outside, and he quickly moved in front of Morluc'shisrank. Crash the Party rallied into second and set after Theoryofrelativity. But Theoryofrelativity spurted away from a green Crash the Party, and crossed the line 5 3/4 lengths in front. Chili Bean picked up third late, followed by Heza Royal One, pacesseter Morluc'shisrank, and Trick Ridge (Cactus Ridge - Cheyenne Sister by Favorite Trick). Watch the Replay. Theoryofrelativity is the second winner from two starters for Einstein.

Knocking Wood

The track was fast for the five runners. Meadowood (Harlan's Holiday - Into Reality by Untuttable) was favored. Pulpit Spirit (Pulpit - Run Withthe Spirit by Lemon Drop Kid) was off a little slowly, and Amelia's Wild Ride (D'wildcat - Amelia Island by Hook and Ladder) sprinted to the lead. Meadowood chased after Amelia's Wild Ride, followed by Wonderfella (Harlan's Holiday - Carleaville by Carson City), Hot to Seek Her (Heatseeker (IRE) - Gods Ear by Unusual Heat), and the slow starting Pulpit Spirit. Amelia's Wild Ride continued to lead as they entered the turn, but Meadowood was inching closer. In the stretch Meadowood moved even with Amelia's Wild Ride. The latter horse fought on for a time, but Meadowood was too much, and he pulled away late for a 2-length win. Amelia's Wild Ride was safely in second over Wonderfella, with Hot to Seek Her and Pulpit Spirit completing the order. Watch the Replay.

Yay! Einstein.  Two for two.

In the same week that Steve Haskin is writing about Dr. Fager vs. Damascus and gives a passing glance to Dr. Fager vs. Damascus vs. Buckpasser, it's nice to see the Buckpasser line continuing -- let's hope Einstein shines for his ancestor.
