Lots of results to catch up from the past few days, so I'll keep them brief. And, we move onward with a couple of Sea The Stars fillies running Thursday, September 5.

September 1 Results

Stakes Results

Dunkin Bend (colt; Dunkirk - Misty Run by Vindication) sat off the early pace, and then made a run on the outside to win the Sapling Stakes (gr. III) at Monmouth Park by 1 1/4 lengths. Watch the Replay. Read more about the Sapling Stakes here. Dunkin Bend, who is the first stakes winner for Dunkirk, now has 2 wins and 1 second in three starts, with earnings of $117,000.

Blacksilkstockings (Dunkirk - Cactus Belle by Gone West) was no match for Needmore Flattery (Flatter - Kiosk by Left Banker), who won the 6 furlong Tah Dah Stakes for Ohio-bred fillies at Beulah Park by 6 1/2 lengths, but firster Blacksilkstockings beat everyone else, finishing 2nd by a length. 

Bad River Belle (Dunkirk - Lady Tapestry by Runaway Groom) finished third in the 6 furlong Northern Lights Debutante at Canterbury Park. She Can Ski (Appealing Skier - Greta's Fans by Silver Ghost) was involved from the start, and won by 3 lengths. Watch the Replay.

Maiden Results

Colonel Joan (filly; Colonel John - Live 'n Laugh by Dixieland Band) started slow in Race 7 at Del Mar, a mile Maiden Special Weight, but finished strong, claiming second, just a head behind winner Miss Machiavelli (Artie Schiller - Dontgetinmyway by Machiavellian). Watch the Replay.

Courageous Julie (filly; Pioneerof the Nile - Beautiful Julie by Tiznow) finished 5th in Race 7 at Saratoga, a 7 furlong Maiden Special Weight. Recepta (Speightstown - Honor Bestowed by Honor Grades) looked good, winning by 4 1/2 lengths over the sloppy track. Watch the Replay.

Missing Groom (colt; Colonel John - Lost Bride by Pioneering) gained some to finish 5th in Race 10 at Del Mar, a 6 furlong Maiden Special Weight. Storm Reveler (Stormin Fever - Empress of Dance by Maria's Mon) won by a nose over California Jade (Stormin Fever - Hunting Jade by Jade Hunter), who was just a nose better than Ajac (Benchmark - Mirando by Bertrando). Jazzy Genius (filly; Einstein (BRZ) - Jazzy Dancer by Dixie Union) was 6th in Race 9 at Arlington Park, a 5.5 furlong Maiden Special Weight. Dreamofjean E. (Bring the Heat - Deceitful Darling by Numerous) led all the way and won by 2 1/4 lengths. Watch the Replay.

Jojo Warrior (Pioneerof the Nile - Carson Jen by Carson City) was favored in Race 4 at Del Mar, a 5.5 furlong Maiden Race, sat of the early pace, and pulled away for a 3 1/4-length win. Southside Drive (gelding Dunkirk - Adam's Time by Gilded Time) was favored in Race 1 at Assiniboia Downs, a 5 furlong Maiden Special Weight, and took the early lead, but couldn't hold off Unbridled Eddy (Eddington - Britetozmyday by High Brite), and had to settle for second.

Captainofindustry (colt; Pioneerof the Nile - Skymiler by Stephen Got Even) made up ground to finish 4th in his debut in Race 9 at Timonium, a 6.5 furlong Maiden Special Weight. King Racer (Harlington - Sunny Street by Dixieland Band) took the race by a nose.

Kendini (gelding; Dunkirk - Next Big Nothin' by Forest Wildcat) was 4th in Race 6 at Emerald Downs, a 5.5 furlong Allowance Race. Dallon's Gold (Private Gold - Winning Weave by Basket Weave) was the winner. Watch the Replay.

Hopehard (colt; Dunkirk - Jazzy Melissa by Grand Slam) was scratched from Race 2 at Presque Isle Downs, a 6 furlong Maiden Special Weight. Brays Secret (Denis of Cork - Be Quick Spice by Sea Salute) led all the way, and won by 7 lengths. He is the second winner for Denis of Cork. Watch the Replay.

Neilos (colt; Pioneerof the Nile - Shopping Again by Awesome Again) finished 5th in her debut in Race 6 at Parx Racing, a 6 furlong Maiden Special Weight. Favorite Classic Giacnroll (Giacomo - Classic Woman by Storm Bird) won by a nose. Watch the Replay.

September 4 Result

Rip Roaring (filly; Sea The Stars (IRE) - Nebraska Tornado by Storm Cat) was a winner in her debut in a mile Maiden Race on the good turf at Chantilly. She is the 3rd winner for Sea The Stars.

This is it folks! Here comes Alex's son  Honorabke Judge in the Iroquois stakes Saturday yes indeed he's the real thing. Hey Joe! Bring him home!  He's going to pass the field like they are standing still.  Awwwesome!  Here he comes!
