Nighttiming (Pioneerof the Nile - Razzi Cat by Storm Cat) was scratched from the 7th at Laurel on September 19. The winner was first-timer Daring Dancer (Empire Maker - Vienna Affair (GB) by Red Ransom), who was favored and came from off the pace. Hotspur Harriet (Love of Money - Dance Approval by With Approval) finished second after dueling for much of the race, and McArthur Parkway (Divine Park - Bells for Marlin by Marlin) closed well for third.
