It's Breeders' Cup Time, so I will have less and less time to devote to the blog. I have previewed a couple of races for Sunday, one at Churchill Downs, and one at Gulfstream Park.

Pontificate (Papal Bull (GB) - Fluency (GB) by Formidable) was scratched, leaving 10 to run on the soft ground. Gypsy King (Galileo (IRE) - Dancing Shoes (IRE) by Danehill) was favored, and Sea's Aria (Sea The Stars (IRE) - Speed Song by Fasliyev) was 6-1. Par Three (Azamour (IRE) - Little Whisper (IRE) by Be My Guest) was slow to leave the gate, and gave the others a head start. Gypsy King and Sea's Aria were at the front. Fiscal Focus (Intense Focus - Elida (IRE) by Royal Academy) tracked the leaders, with Northern Surprise (Azamour (IRE) - Surprise Treat (IRE) by Shalford (IRE)) and Le Troisieme Gris (Verglas (IRE) - Suailce (IRE) by Singspiel (IRE)). Sea's Aria and Gypsy King continued to lead them. As they entered the stretch, Sea's Aria took a bried lead, but she was quickly headed by Fiscal Focus. Closing on the inside was Adelaide (Galileo (IRE) - Elletelle (IRE) by Elnadim). She caught Fiscal Focus, and went on by, pulling away for a 2 1/2-length win. Fiscal Focus was 4 3/4 lengths better than Gypsy King in third. Weakening a bit in fourth was Sea's Aria.
