The Reality of Winning
There were no scratches, and the track was fast. Worldly Charm (Malibu Moon - Evangelizer by Saint Ballado) was favored, and Colonel Juanita (Colonel John - Salceda by Forestry) was 31-1. There was a lot of bumping at the start. Aqua Regia (Pollard's Vision - Phu Cat by Tabasco Cat) took the worst of it, and went to the rear. Colonel Juanita was also shuffled back. There was a scramble up front. Sun and Moon (El Corredor - Hi Beautiful by Snow Ridge), Risque Reality (More Than Ready - Rough Water by Stormin Fever), Birdsofafeather (Imperialism - Gin Rummy by Slew Gin Fizz), and Worldly Charm were all involved early. Risque Reality took a short lead, but World Reality and Birdsofafeather were sticking close. Just off this trio was Sun and Moon. Worldly Charm put a head in front as they entered the stretch, but Risque Reality was not giving in, and Sun and Moon was getting closer. Risque Reality pulled away again late, leaving Worldly Charm behind. Sun and Moon picked up second, as Worldly Charm settled for third, and Colonel Juanita gained some to finish fourth.
