Cairo Prince (colt; Pioneerof the Nile - Holy Bubbette by Holy Bull) was never far off the pace in the Remsen Stakes (gr. II) at Aqueduct, and took the lead in the stretch. But, Honor Code (A.P. Indy - Serena's Cat by Storm Cat) came after him. They battled to the wire, with Honor Code getting his down for a nose victory. Watch the Replay. Read more about the Remsen here.

Three Quarter Winner

The track was sloppy, but S S Dixie (Dixie Union - Reflect And Dream (AUS) by Grand Lodge) was the only scratch. Vinceremos (Pioneerof the Nile - Kettle's Sister by More Than Ready) was favored, and he looked the part. My Uncle Charlie (Exclusive Quality - Stan's Love by Fortunate Prospect) hopped at the start. Little Tom (Freud - Shanghai Rose by Red Bullet) broke running and took the early lead, as Vinceremos was fourth early on. Three Quarter Roy (Concerto - Joy Rules by Full Mandate) set after Little Tom, moved even with him, and then surged on by. Vinceremos took over second, but he was no threat to Three Quarter Roy, who went on to post a 6-length win. Vinceremos was another 3 lengths in front of River Pride (Lion Tamer - Mistress Fletcher by Sovereign Don), who was followed by Tequesta Storm (High Cotton - David's Grand Girl by Grand Slam) and My Uncle Charlie. Running Home

Midnight Beauty (Midnight Lute - Beauty Unbridled by Commanchero), Curio (Bernardini - Hatta Diamond by Street Cry (IRE)), and Kiss Moon (Malibu Moon - Kiss the Devil by Kris S.) were scratched, which allowed AE entrants Afterlife (Ghostzapper - Vivaladiva by Alydeed) and Blue Temptation (Bluegrass Cat - Highly Tempted by Greatness) to run. Homesick Angel (Divine Park - On the Menu by Canadian Frontier) was favored. Southern Honey (Colonel John - Mama Tia by Carson City) was dismissed at 36-1, but she looked good in the prelims. Blue Temptation outbroke the others. Also showing early speed was Southern Honey. Emerging from the pack was Holly's Image (Ready's Image - Holly's Wager by Valid Wager), who went on to set the pace. Blue Temptation, Homesick Angel, and Southern Honey were amongst the early pursuers. As they entered the stretch, it was favorite Homesick Angel who took command. She swiftly left the others behind, passing the line 5 lengths in front. Southern Honey kept on, finishing second in a good debut for her. Finishing well were Gamblers Rose (Pulpit - Lovely Regina by Deputy Minister) and Innate Grace (Pulpit - Affluent by Affirmed), who took third and fourth. Watch the Replay.

A Winning Bomb

The track was fast, and all 12 ran. The entry of She's Not Here (Street Cry (IRE) - Where's Bailey by Aljabr) and Lady Marian (Candy Ride (ARG) - Fine Line by Mineshaft) was a slight favorite over Treaty Oak (War Chant - Rather Be Wild by Wild Again). Grace of the Nile (Pioneerof the Nile - Grace Happens by Aptitude) was 18-1, and Goodtime Annie (Dunkirk - Annie Goodtime by Honour and Glory) was 31-1. Treaty Oak looked good at first glance, but was a little on edge on the track. Grace of the Nile made a favorable impression heading to the track. Beth Ann's Kitten (Kitten's Joy - Crumbs of Comfort by Pulpit) had some bounce in her step. Treaty Oak was restless in the gate. Grace of the Nile, Lady Marian, and Truly Royal (Roman Ruler - Minnie's Minister by Deputy Minister) bumped at the start and were at the back. She's Not Here went to the lead, but she was fighting her jockey. She was chased by Treaty Oak and Piper Jade (Harlan's Holiday - County Fair by Mr. Prospector). Goodtime Annie wasn't too far off on the outside. She's Not Here continued to lead them, followed by Treaty Oak. Moving into third was Hardrockcandymount (Candy Ride (ARG) - Mountain Girl by Mountain Cat), and making up some ground was Skittle Bomb (Giant's Causeway - Bellini Sunrise by Machiavellian). She's Not Here was still in front as they entered the stretch, but both Treaty Oak and Skittle Bomb were closing. They went by She's Not Here as a team, with Skittle Bomb pulling free late for a 3/4-length win. She's Not Here held third, with Grace of the Nile closing nicely to pick up fourth. Goodtime Annie weakened  late to finish 8th. Watch the Replay.

Hesinfront in Front

Only the AEs were left out, and the turf was good. Lukewarm favoritism went to Hesinfront (War Front - Classy Marlin by Sky Classic) and Triple Play Kitten (Kitten's Joy - Trio by Lemon Drop Kid). Colonel Krenz (Colonel John - Miss Marcia by Mr. Greeley) was 49-1. Wise Dan was paraded in the paddock before this race, and he caught the eye of One More Night (Scat Daddy - Livia B Quick by Crafty Prospector), as they moved to the paddock. Hesinfront had a lot of pep in the paddock. Grizzle (Tapit - She's a Beauty by Storm Cat) looked good in the post parade. The start was pretty decent, with debuting Penobscot (Mr. Greeley - Life in Seattle by Unbridled) and Colonel Krenz a little slow to begin. Hesinfront broke on top, but All Cash (English Channel - Andover the Money by Dynaformer) went by to set the pace. One More Night and Wildlife Artist (Rock Hard Ten - Wildlife Festival by Seeking the Gold) came up to apply some pressure. All Cash continued to show the way. As they hit the stretch, Wildlife Artist moved on the outside, and Hesinfront came through on the inside. Hesinfront was going best, and he pulled away late for a 1 1/4-length win. Wildlife Artist held second over Penobscot and Eirigh (More Than Ready - Pleasant N Low by Pleasant Tap), who both finished well. They were followed by a tired All Cash, and Colonel Krenz, who picked up some places late. Watch the Replay.

Elaine Conquers a Cowgirl's Dream

All eight ran, and the track was fast. Cowgirl in Love (Cowboy Cal - Rich in Love by Seattle Slew) was favored, and Amica (Dunkirk - Dot C C by Cozzene) was 17-1. Dream Spinner (Hard Spun - Whatdreamsrmadeof by Graeme Hall) looked nice in the paddock, and Maquita Elaine (Hard Spun - Venusberg (ARG) by Southern Halo) was interesting. Amica made a favorable impression. The start was good. There was a bit of a scramble for the early lead. Storm Rush (Stormy Atlantic - Indy Flash by A.P. Indy) took advantage of her inside position to grab it. She was pressed by Asheroony (Smart Strike - Kelly Pond by Deputy Minister), with Cowgirl in Love just off of these, and Dream Spinner made up ground while running wide. Trailing the field, separated from the main pack was Amica. Storm Rush, Asheroon, and Dream Spinner continued to battle. Sitting behind these were Maquita Elaine and Cowgirl in Love. Dream Spinner took the lead as they entered the turn. Coming after her were Cowgirl in Love and Maquita Elaine. These three finished together, with Maquita Elaine getting the win by a head over Cowgirl in Love, who was a head in front of Dream Spinner. Two and a half lengths behind these trio came American Girly (Quiet American - Swirly Girl by Cat Dreams), who was just a nose better than Amica. The latter filly finished well on the inside.
