Cairo Prince (colt; Pioneerof the Nile - Holy Bubbette by Holy Bull) got off to a good start in the Holy Bull Stakes (gr. II), sitting on the outside in 5th, as Coup de Grace (Tapit - Home Court by Storm Cat) and Almost Famous (Unbridled's Song - Wild Gams by Forest Wildcat) set the pace. Mr Speaker (Pulpit - Salute by Unbridled), Cairo Prince, and Best Plan Yet (Hear No Evil - Bayou Plans by Bayou Hebert) moved up on the leaders after a bit, and then Coup de Grace began to retreat. Almost Famous still held the lead, but Cairo Prince was looming. He eased to the lead as they entered the turn, and then rolled home. He crossed the line 5 3/4 lengths in front of Conquest Titan (Birdstone - Miner's Secret by Mineshaft) and Intense Holiday (Harlan's Holiday - Intensify by Unbridled's Song).
