Showing Some Stones

Effinex (Mineshaft - What a Pear by E Dubai) was the only scratch, and the track was fast. Hampden Fiveone (Utopia (JPN) - Miramar Miracle by Affirmed) was the 5-2 favorite, and Say Nay Nay (Colonel John - Twining and Dining by Twining) was almost 45-1. Frontier Scout (Posse - Aly's Leader by Alyten) was slow out of the gate. Say Nay Nay was away ok, but soon dropped to the back. To the front went Super Nicky (Utopia (JPN) - Audrey's Secret by Salt Lake) and Testosterstone (Birdstone - A. P. Test by A.P. Indy), followed by Hampden Fiveone and Freddie G (Old Fashioned - Celtic Melody by Mr. Greeley). Testosterstone took advantage of his rail spot to take a clear lead. Super Nicky continued to chase. Hampden Fiveone got by Super Nicky in the stretch, but he had to settle for second, as there was no catching Testosterstone. He crossed the line 4 lengths in front. Hampden Fiveone was clear in second, with Super Nicky just holding on for third over John's Island (Posse - Morning Gallop by Victory Gallop). Say Nay Nay trailed throughout while running wide. Three Strikes for Blackford

All 9 ran on the Tapeta. Three Strike Rule (Tribal Rule - Striking Point by Thunder Gulch) was favored, and Admiral Morgan (Colonel John - Caged Cat by Mt. Livermore) was 19-1. Blackford (Unusual Heat - Just Lookn by Synastry) stumbled at the break, and looked awkward upon recover. Up front, Time Jumper (Denis of Cork - Adorable Heidi by Gimmeawink), Pazmeifucan (Peppered Cat - Crown This Lady by Crowning Storm), and Three Stike Rule were battling. Pazmeifucan held a short lead, while racing off the rail. Time Jumper was on the rail just behind him. Three Strike Rule tracked the top pair. There was a break to the next group of Dude From Malibu (Malibu Moon - Initial by Our Emblem), Smiley Eagle (Stevie Wonderboy - Jet to Victory by Silver Hawk), and Smokin' Steve (Decarchy - Smokin' Charlotte by Red Bishop). Time Jumper got in front of Pazmeifucan, who continued to keep pace for a time, with favorite Three Strike Rule still there. Crushed It (Petionville - Enduring Charm by Batonnier) was starting to make up ground from the back, with Dude From Malibu also getting closer. As they moved into the stretch, Three Strike Rule and Time Jumper continued to battle. Flying from way back was Blackford. Three Strike Rule got the best of Time Jumper, but Blackford was finishing strongly. They were several widths apart on the track, so it was difficult to see who took it. However, the camera couldn't separate them either, as it ended in a dead heat. Time Jumper held third after jumping tire tracks, with Crushed It 4th. They were followed by Smiley Eagle, Dude From Malibu, Admiral Morgan, who didn't do much running, Smokin' Steve, and Pazmeifucan. Watch the Replay.
