Caval Takes the Blame

Partyin (Henny Hughes - Picnicin' by Red Ransom) was scratched, leaving just 4 on the fast track. Caval (Blame - Sultana by Storm Cat) was favored, and made a good appearance. She was given a strong warmup. So You Say (Flatter - Hurricane Hannah by Southern Halo) looked nice on the track. Haleys Rainbow (Songandaprayer - Holy Spirit by Ghostzapper) was a tad reluctant to load, and So You Say was a little slow to break. Haleys Rainbow went to the lead, but Caval was soon after her. Caval moved to the front on the turn. She was slow to switch leads, but it didn't matter, as she came home 5 1/2 lengths in front. Haleys Rainbow was clear in second, 7 1/4 lengths ahead of So You Say, and Yes She's a Dancer trailed. Watch the Replay. Caval is the first winner for Blame. Read more about her victory here.
