Curly was pushed wide, wide, wider than Big Brown in the Derby (officially 7 wide). Amazingly, Curly kept coming and coming....

Curly was devoid of early speed, spending the early part of the race hanging out in the back of pack (strangely enough with Curly Cameli). But, he did make a nice middle move, passing a few before tiring....
