Don't Look Back

P. J.'s Canary (Birdstone), Rockland (Smarty Jones), and Clash of Arms (Speightstown) came out running to break their maidens in front-running style.

Fourteen to Go

Fourteen horses in 9 races for November 5. I did my best to cover them all, but came up a little short. Only one recap, Loving Roe Is Easy (Peace Rules), as Saarlight (Saarland) was a scratch.

Breakwithtradition Will Try to Make Allowances

Breakwithtradition (Birdstone), who broke his maiden in his third start on August 31 at Woodbine, becomes our latest Maiden Watch graduate to try allowance company.

Run Smart One to Rockland for Me You and Her

Nice symmetry in the entries for October 9, four races each with 2 horses, including three Smarties - Me You and Her, Run Smart One, and Rockland.

Scooter Scoots to Victory

I thought wow, three horses in the race and we are not even going to hit the board. But, suddenly from nowhere, Scootin Scooter (Saarland) emerged from the pack.

A Clash of Arms for Scooter and Antigone; so Run Smart One

Maiden Watch horses make up 1/3 of the field in the 6th at Laurel on September 17. Plus Antigone Jones (Smarty Jones) debuts at Turfway.

And Then There were 19

On August 31, there are 19 Maiden Watch horses running in 14 races highlighted by Collegiate (Saarland) in the Spinaway (gr. I) and Dueling Alex (Medaglia d'Oro) in the Sapling (gr. III).
