No wins on the day, but good performances by Ameribelle (Medaglia d'Oro) in the John Franks Juvenile Fillies Turf and Bosco Rules (Peace Rules) at Hawthorne.

Mine That Bird (Birdstone) wins his third in a row and his 2nd stakes. There's no stopping That Bird. Also, impressive wins for Gemswick Park (Speightstown) and Sweet Kristen (Peace Rules), who becomes Peace Rules' 15th winner.

Ok, so that headline is a bit deceiving, she didn't exactly rocket to victory, but a win is a win. Also Mine That Bird (Birdstone) and Bear's Conductor (Congaree) in the Swynford Stakes at Woodbine. Plus, many more results and entries.

Not a bad day for Maiden Watch on Monday, August 4 with 3 straight wins by Mine That Bird (Birdstone), Mostly Peace (Peace Rules), and Paradise Playgirl (Speightstown). On track at Saratoga was Smart Woman. Smart Woman is a Smarty Jones' filly out of the winning Storm Cat mare, Storming Beauty. Storming Beauty is a daughter of champion Sky Beauty who earned $1,336,000 and won or placed in 17 graded stakes.

Curly was pushed wide, wide, wider than Big Brown in the Derby (officially 7 wide). Amazingly, Curly kept coming and coming.
