Stars of Tomorrow Today

Nineteen horses running in 14 races, including 5 Stakes, on Saturday, November 29. Four of the stakes are part of Churchill Downs' Stars of Tomorrow II card.

Pearl Earns Valor at Churchill

Pear of Valor (Medaglia d'Oro) scores impressively at Churchill and Exclusive Scheme (Saarland) makes a good run at Aqueduct. Entries are highlighted by Texas Birdstone (Birdstone) and Precious Beans (Medaglia d'Oro) in the Jean Lafitte Stakes.

Don't Look Back

P. J.'s Canary (Birdstone), Rockland (Smarty Jones), and Clash of Arms (Speightstown) came out running to break their maidens in front-running style.

Run Smart One to Rockland for Me You and Her

Nice symmetry in the entries for October 9, four races each with 2 horses, including three Smarties - Me You and Her, Run Smart One, and Rockland.

Back on Track

I'm back on track after a short absence. Two races featuring three horses for October 8 - Exclusive Scheme (Saarland) at Belmont, and Pearl of Valor (Medaglia d'Oro) and Verdant (Pleasantly Perfect) at Keeneland.

The Results are In - August 31

Nineteen horses in 14 races and not a single scratch. In fact, Mullins Beach (Speightstown) got in off the AE list. The results are below, beginning with the two stakes races (Spinaway and Sapling), then today's winners, and then the rest in chronological order.

And Then There were 19

On August 31, there are 19 Maiden Watch horses running in 14 races highlighted by Collegiate (Saarland) in the Spinaway (gr. I) and Dueling Alex (Medaglia d'Oro) in the Sapling (gr. III).

Broadway Hennessey Turns the Tables on Congo Kaye

Congo Kaye (Congaree) and Broadway Hennessey faced off again in Wine Country. Also, results for Ameribelle (Medaglia d'Oro), Danceyoursocksoff (Pleasantly Perfect), Pearl of Valor (Medaglia d'Oro), and Da Bear Facts (Congaree); and entries for Pick's Express (Speightstown) and Stone Legacy (Birdstone).

Trifecta King will Meetyouatyogi's in the South of France

The filly Trifecta King (Peace Rules) takes to the Hollywood Cushion on Thursday. Her dam is a half-sister to Church Service who is grade II-placed and most recently (on March 29, 2008) finished 2nd in the Tokyo City Handicap.

Segal over Persian; The Cowboy runs again

Katolak Cowboy who finished 7th in his debut on April 20, becomes our first return runner. He will again try 2 furlongs at Woodbine. Three of his opponents are back, Tin Pan Alley Cat who finished 5th, Player's List who was 8th, and Can'tstopthiscat who finished 3rd.

Floating On Air Shows Speed; A Rose Sings

Floating On Air did something that none of our other horses have, she showed speed and actually took the lead out of the gate.

It's all about Merkel; Causin' Havoc entered

Causin' Havoc (colt - Medaglia d'Oro - Degenerate Gal by Degenerate Jon) becomes the first of our first-crop offspring to be entered in a race, as he scheduled to run in Race 2 at Keeneland on April 9th. We'll take a closer look at this race next week.
