It was a day of slow starts. The only horse that got out of the gate quickly was Long Live Dixie (Peace Rules) who, not coincidentally, was our only winner on the day.

Curly was pushed wide, wide, wider than Big Brown in the Derby (officially 7 wide). Amazingly, Curly kept coming and coming.
