Alisha - I just remembered something regarding Heir to the Stone. Not being entered in the Saratoga Special may be because of his last workout - 4 furlongs in :50.04. The reason that he went so slow was because he had to avoid a fallen horse, but his connections may have thought that he wasn't ready for the Saratoga Special since he didn't have a proper work. This is all just speculation on my part, I haven't spoken to anyone connected to the horse.

Alisha - Well, S. S. Stone's past was only one race, but I agree with you. I thought that he was too close to the pace. Regarding Heir to the Stone, I have not heard anything about an injury. They may have just decided that he wasn't ready.

maybe i'm wrong but in the best pal i thought s s stone was a closer but he was in front during the race! also i was looking at the saratoga special and heir to the stone wasn't in the race. i thought he was being pointed to that. did he get injured or did the trainer change his mind?
