BittelRoad - Good question. I'd have to check my notes, but off the top of my head I don't recall any Speightstowns on the Pro-Ride. He's had winners on Polytrack, but as we know, it's not necessarily the same.

Nancy - Thanks for the info on Ricoriatoa. I was thinking it must be something Brazilian, because the only other references were movie sites in Brazil.

After reading the DRF today Im going for Mine that Bird even more. They arent respecting him at all. I hope he wins and Birdstone catapults to the lead on the Freshman Sire list.

Ricoriatoa actually ran in a 5-furlong exhibition race at Turfway Park on Sept. 27, featuring riders from the North American Riding Academy. He came in 3rd under student rider Anna Roberts. Bloodhorse.com had an article on it, but the colt's name was styled Rico Ri Atoa. The language of the name is Portuguese, it seems to be a combination of words, and, I'm guessing, may come from a popular Brazilian movie (1957) titled Rico Ri a Toa. Makes some sense since the colt is bred and owned by Stud TNT, which, I believe, is based in Brazil.

I really wish there was alittle more time until the BC for Perfect Edge, his race was eye opening and I would have loved to see him run in the BC!
