Joe - the purpose of this blog is to follow the 1st-crop offspring of some prominent racehorses, some picked by me and some picked by readers of the blog. I'm not sure what you don't understand.

For each maiden race, I give info on each horse in the race, not just those sired by stallions followed in the blog. If this information is not useful to you, I'm sorry.

Two new Smarty runners overseas: On 11/11, Smart and Fun (o/o Hawayil by Halling) finished a close second in his debut at Saint-Brieuc in France, going 1600 m on the flat. I (we) spend time reading these maiden watch items, and at times taking notes, but can you and bloodstock enlighten us on where this is going? Obviously it's not leading us to any winners. If it's just for the sport of it, then good. If not, then you need to tell us.
