Yes, as a matter of fact, I was late for work because I just had to watch it.lol I thought he ran a great race for a firster. Not exactly PP's distance and the mud didn't help him, he was devoid of any early speed and was able to make up ground. I thought he did Pops proud. A family friend has worked for Mandella since 1981, so I kinda think of them as the home team and I just fell in love with PP early on.

k.rob - Thanks for the comment about Phantom Avalanche. There are only so many stallions we can watch, so it's great when readers chime in with notes about others. Keep us posted on his progress. I see his dam is a half-sister to several stakes winners.

And Reynaldothewizard, the Speights o/o Holiday Runner was one of my other favorites in the miami sale. My others were hip 99 G. Causeway o/o Tomorrows Sunshine. 129 El. Quality o/o xtra heat. i don't think she'll stay sound like dam but she has 2yo g1 all over her. hip 7 a friends lake was nice. and hip 1 a vindication filly i don't think she'll make a 2yo but an awesome 3yo. Give my OBS, Barretts, and Keene sales picks l8r.

Cosmic Queen was one of my favorites in the miami sale. She had "Stakes" written all over her. I told Raul (the consignor) she was one of the best in the sale. Gl to her connections, I hope she continues to do well.
