Yes, the Man o' War line is still present in Germany through Contat (GER). He is a son of Diktat (GB), also the sire of Dream Ahead. These stallions descend from Warning (GB), son of Known Fact.

He was the fastest horse we have ever ridden in 30 years of training thoroughbreds. Count Mein Too also had the kindest temperament and we had several young people who were voices enjoy their first ride on him. He was also a natural jumper and could easily clear 5 feet fences. From a very limited opportunity he has managed to have several winners at various tracks in the western states. We always enjoy reading Pedigree Ann`s comments as they are very well thought through. We are very small breeders and are pleased when any one of our horses wins at a recognized track through the efforts of others with access to better tracks than are available to us. The In Reality line of horses we have seem to mature a little slower than most but also seem to stay sounder longer and also race at many varying distances. We feel very fortunate to have this line of horses with their excellent minds.

Intentionally certainly had speed, but his best runners were all over the block with regards to distance. In Reality won the Florida Derby and was still running at the end of the Preakness vs.Damascus; being a contemporary of Damascus and Dr. Fager probably was what kept him from winning a big 10f event, not lack of distance ability. Red Reality won two 11f Turf Hcps, the Del Mar and the Edgemere. Tentam won the 11f UN Hcp as well as the Met Mile.

Intentionally himself had speed and was a hot 2yo, when he did win the 8.5f Pimlico Futurity. At 3 he won two top sophomore mile races, the Withers and the Jerome (the real versions, not the Inner Track aberrations of this year). And as a mature horse, he ran second to champion Carry Back in the 10f Trenton H.

In those days, many a champion sprinter was actually a miler, like My Juliet, or even a stayer, like Forego, who also won a major sprint or two.

After all, Intentionally's sire Intent twice won the 14f dirt version of the San Juan Capistrano H, even though he could also win a good class 7f sprint stakes.

(I always thought Intentionally was a sprint sire but Tiznow certainly isn't!)
