Bravo!! I think this a big step in the right direction. Young horses at this stage of the game do not need to be in an all sprint. Leave the fast workouts for a later time.

Well said Eric, the more horses we can keep sound and get to the races the better for everyone. It is a long process for breeders to get a horse to the races and anything that helps that to happen I am all for.

This makes sense. Under tack is supposed to give you an idea of the horse's potential abilities, not be an out-and-out sprint. It always seemed to me the harder workouts were an injury risk.
