Lentenor Update

Fans of Lentenor, please take note that the yearling colt has started the next phase of his life. He left Mill Ridge Farm near Lexington on Oct. 13 to head to Stephens Thoroughbreds near Ocala, Fla., to begin his early training.

"He shipped yesterday to John and Jill Stephens along with all the Jacksons yearlings,” said Headley Bell, the managing partner of Mill Ridge. β€œHe has continued to mature into a strong healthy colt, and we look forward to his racing career in time.”

Another beautiful baby. Best of luck!

MRO 14 Oct 2008 2:18 PM

Godspeed, my boy.  Doesn't he look like Barbaro?  It's the kind eye and heart mark.

Karen in VA 14 Oct 2008 2:18 PM

Lentenor is a beautiful colt and also has a resembelence to Barbaro

I wish his well in the next phase of his life and look forward to seeing him at the races I am sure he will make his big brother proud.  Darlene in Ohio.

darlene 14 Oct 2008 2:19 PM

please Nicanor and Lentenor, make it to the track. I'd LOVE to be a big winner betting against you first time out.

rick 14 Oct 2008 2:26 PM

Man, is he ever correct. In all honesty, I don't ever think I have seen a Dynaformer yearling that marketable.  He IS Carson City--with a good Furlong breeze-he would garner an unreal auction price.  Unbelievable.

brettzky99 14 Oct 2008 2:29 PM

Nice. Nice. Nice. Hope this colt turns into a good runner.

Blue Blue Sea 14 Oct 2008 3:00 PM

Rick comes in with the response of the day.  Well done!

Art 14 Oct 2008 3:13 PM

Such a BEAUTIFUL boy, and so clearly of the Barbaro Jackson family.  Something tells me Lentenor is going to be something very special!

Time goes so fast, doesn't it?  I remember the pics of him the day after his birth, the gawky yearling stances with La Ville Rouge . . . and now he is off and away to begin his big journey.  It is so very moving . . . and so very exciting.

Can you imagine how Gretchen and Roy Jackson must feel?  Can you imagine that Michael and Peter will have both of the boys at Fair Hill at the same time?

We have much to look forward to, and with the birth of the new foal in February 2009, well, there are many parts of the Barbaro story to follow !

Cheers, young Lentenor !  And work well, Nicanor !

Karen, PA 14 Oct 2008 3:57 PM

Wow, he is definitely a Dynaformer.  I think he resembles his sire more than his older brothers did. What a sweet eye-he just looks like a runner.

keenelandcat 14 Oct 2008 3:59 PM

Lentenor, you are so handsome.  You are so loved and great things are in store for you.  Thank you so much for the update.  Brought a giant smile to my face.

Cassidy 14 Oct 2008 4:04 PM

Wow, he looks even more like Barbaro than Nicky. Both baby brothers look beautiful & are coming along great. I can't even believe Nicky will be 3 in less than 2 months (by racing standards, of course.)It's all just so exciting!

lyssa 14 Oct 2008 4:23 PM

What a beautiful one year old! He truly looks a lot like his big brother Barbaro. God speed to him and  Nicanor.

Anja 14 Oct 2008 4:49 PM

He Looks Just Barbaro

He So CUTE Good Baby Boy

Leah P. 14 Oct 2008 5:15 PM

I'm so glad that the Jacksons are taking it slow with both of these handsome young men!  Let them grow and mature and then run over all the horses that started racing too early!  :D  Best of luck to both of them!  Can't wait to see them race!

Sarah 14 Oct 2008 5:52 PM

AWESOME!

Jamie21Williamson 14 Oct 2008 6:23 PM

It would be great if he or Nicanor could emulate Barbaro on the track, and continue on to a long healthy life in retirement.

Brian A. 14 Oct 2008 6:25 PM

I agree with keenelandcat, he looks like a lighter version of Dynaformer. He is a very good looker. Good luck Lentenor, and Nicanor.

LDP 14 Oct 2008 6:34 PM

I'm looking forward to seeing Lennie race... Godspeed Little Barabro!!!

Southern Pyro 14 Oct 2008 6:57 PM

On this day with another blow to horseracing (BB retirement) it is good to look to the future. If Lentenor and Nicanor are any indication, let the good times roll! They've got a great fan base already, and we'll try to keep our composure till they make it to the track.

ctgreyhound 14 Oct 2008 7:15 PM

He has the "EYE" of Barbaro.  The sweet soulful eyes.  It is like looking in the eye of Barbaro.

Trish 14 Oct 2008 7:32 PM

My, Lentenor looks so like his wonderful brother Barbaro, what a heart warming thought.  Good Luck  Sweet Lentenor....

Ragsy 14 Oct 2008 7:37 PM

Good luck sweetie.  We have been watching you since you were born and just wish you the best.

MJ 14 Oct 2008 7:49 PM

Such a BEAUTIFUL colt, he has the old all knowing eyes. Like Barbaro!

Stay safe young boy, your fan's await you.

Debbie L.A. 14 Oct 2008 8:06 PM

What a beautiful boy you are Lentenor!!!  You look so much like your big brother and I wish you and Nicanor the best.

I hope to see you wearing the red roses on the first Saturday in May of 2010.

Marilyn 14 Oct 2008 8:12 PM

WOW! He is heart stoppingly beautiful! I wish him all good things and a safe career! GO, LENTENOR, GO!

f. Weldon 14 Oct 2008 8:29 PM

Such a beautiful boy and such a strong family resemblance.

May Nicanor and Lentenor run fast and safely always.

Lisa in Colorado 14 Oct 2008 8:45 PM

The pictures of Nicanor on the Fair Hill Site under Jim Coarse show his personality and his beauty.  Go see them!

MVH 14 Oct 2008 8:50 PM

Another beautiful brother of Barbaro!

He looks like a superhorse waiting in the wings for his chance to show what he can do.  It gives me goosebumps.

MVH 14 Oct 2008 8:55 PM

WOW!  He is one handsome colt.  Good luck and godspeed Lentenor.

LindaVA 14 Oct 2008 9:33 PM

Just be safe and happy

Carol 14 Oct 2008 11:15 PM

poo poo on you Rick and Art. Go find another blog for you bad thoughts about Nicanor and Lentenor. What poor sportsmen you are. These are beautiful young colts with a promising future and they have such a pedigree ! A true horse racing fan should rejoice in their coming of age and look forward to the possibilities of what they may do for the racing industry. The Jacksons deserve it, we the fans want it and horse racing needs it. The unfullfilled promise of Barbaro left a hole in the heart and mind of many the world over and we all say thanks for Nicanor and Lentenor because they are living proof love and hope will never die.

Dona 15 Oct 2008 1:17 AM

Lentenor, your are such a beautiful boy!  We love you so much, and I pray that God will bless you and Nicanor and keep you both healthy and safe.

Gloria Davis 15 Oct 2008 1:22 AM

He still looks like such a baby!

Mrs. Malcolm Darcy 15 Oct 2008 7:58 AM

So that little guy that was so full of himself and bucking up a storm in his paddock with his Mama nearby is now off to school. Bless his heart! Stay safe Lentenor, and I wish you all the best!

Carlene Lee 15 Oct 2008 10:46 AM

Now that a couple of you mention it--while his detail is Carson City, his posture from the shoulders up mirrors Dynaformer.  He looks huge for a yearling.

brettzky99 15 Oct 2008 10:53 AM

Now THIS is the brother that really

looks like Barbaro!! Wow! The

resemblance is something.

Barbara 15 Oct 2008 12:18 PM

Lentenor

Good Luck you handsome dude. Stay safe.

kath 15 Oct 2008 12:21 PM

Hey Art and Rick, I bet you were smart enough to bet against Barbaro too huh?!

DAP 15 Oct 2008 12:44 PM

I think he looks more like Barbaro. And I get this feeling that he will be the one. I don't know why but I do. Nicanor is beautiful but I hope people aren't expecting too much of him. He might not be the one. I wish both of them well. Always miss the Great Barbaro.

Vevita1 15 Oct 2008 12:51 PM

Rick and Art: go somewhere else and haunt another site!!

Vevita1 15 Oct 2008 1:06 PM

You make my heart happy!  With so many of our beautiful horses retiring this year, it is both comforting and exciting to watch Lentenor and Nicanor (Great names) move forward.  We're with both of you all the way.  Such beauties!!!!

Sally F 15 Oct 2008 2:33 PM

listen folks,

no harm intended. this game is about making money, not admiring the beauty of the animals involved. in fact, i care more about the beauty of the women standing trackside at southern california tracks than the beauty of the horses. i wish no harm to horses at all, and the tragedy that befell Barbaro was horrible. but like i said, this game is about making a buck, and waxing poetic about past champions and looks of their siblings/offspring only get those horses overbet at the window, and create great opportunities for guys like me.

rick 15 Oct 2008 2:49 PM

He is the image of his sire, just a lighter color. He is very large for a yearling!  It may take a while for him to mature but look out when he does! I think Michael Matz will have fun with this one

Katherine 15 Oct 2008 3:12 PM

Really.....and what type of long prices are you going to get @ a maiden special weight at Delaware Park @ 6 or 7 furlongs, where none of the entries, have probably no more than 3 starts.  If you're betting a MSW, you go with bloodstock----and even if you remove Barbaro from the equation--good luck finding a better one than this.  Please advise me of a better strategy for betting MSW's, if you have one.

brettzky99 15 Oct 2008 3:19 PM

Lentenor looks so big! I wish to see one of Barbaro's brothers to fulfill his legacy. It will help horse racing now that Big Brown retired after his injury. I would also like to know how Nicanor is doing. It feels so long that I have heard something new about Nicanor. I wish Lentenor the best, and can't wait to hear soon about how Nicanor is coming along and if he will be having his first race soon.

Laura 15 Oct 2008 3:26 PM

I tend to agree with Rick....It sounds like this site is full of "old ladies" who are $2 betters at the windows each day. It is all about the "business" of racing, not about the "pretty horses." Rick's the man- go gettum boy!!!

bart 15 Oct 2008 3:56 PM

What a beautiful boy!!! So much like his big brother B.  Racing has alot to look forward to in the next few years with Nicky coming on soon and Lennie following behind.  Keep them strong and healthy and let nature take care of the rest.

lorraine 15 Oct 2008 4:42 PM

Nicanor and Lentenor are gorgeous, just like their brother Barbaro was. Let us all hope that all of Barbaro's brothers are Grade 1 winners. I think they will all be great or at least prety darn wonderful. Nicanor and Lentenor weren't sired to make people who bet happy. They were sired for distance; to achieve the almost impossible. And let's hope that one of them manage to do it because it has been a long time since a horse has done it.

Kathy 15 Oct 2008 5:02 PM

hello young prince you are beautiful i already love you run fast run true but most important run safe and strong legs see you in the winners circle

margies 15 Oct 2008 5:48 PM

Rick - I hear you, most people follow this sport because of money.  I actually attend many races, and I don't bet at all.  So not everyone is in it for the money.  Oh, and the fact is you still read this blog...and even if you say it's for reasearch because you want to make money...deep down, you're still here with all of us...admiring these beautiful athletes. Get well BB.

PK47 15 Oct 2008 6:02 PM

Rick, that's great.  Now, go to the track, stare at all the pretty girls, bet on the overbet horses, and get off this site.

Liz 15 Oct 2008 6:19 PM

Good grief Rick, can't you tell when you suffer from foot to mouth disease ? Stating guys like you are just in racing for the money and you care more for the pretty girl standing next to you is an insult to the race horse that is putting his life on the line so you can make a buck. I guess you are in the same group that thinks if a horse can't make it anymore they should be slaughtered or turned out to fend for themselves. You are the reason I believe bettors should be taxed for retired horse relief and owners and breeders should pay a percentage of winnings for the same reason. It is galling to hear some one like you sound off bragging about your blood money. Yeah, I'm very radical when the subject is making money from the blood and sweat of animals .

Dona 15 Oct 2008 7:25 PM

rick

Unfortunately those two things very often go together. The way a horse is put together ...conformation aka beauty...plays a big part in how fast he can run!! BUT...YOU knew that didn't YOU????? So there is an excellent chance that both Nicanor and Lentenor will be financially rewarding at the track.Look at what Dynaformer has produced so far Barbaro and George Washington and probably a few more??? I'm extremely hopeful for these two and I for one can't wait until their training is done to make a wager on both!!! NTRA really needs these two young horses  who already have a dedicated and established loyal fan base to be  successful! So Rick and all the naysayers start saving your greenbacks for these handsome up and commers!!!

George108 15 Oct 2008 7:48 PM

To Rick & Art--I beg to differ. In my mind, it's people like you who should be betting on car races or boxing or playing poker or whatever you want to do to "make money"--you don't belong in an animal oriented sport. Horse racing should be, first and foremost, about the HORSES. They are superbly athletic creatures who touch the hearts of so many people. I ONLY love horse racing for the horses...I have no interest in the odds or the gambling or who makes money. It's the horses that are the stars and they always have been. So please take your business elsewhere. Dona said it beautifully!!

Betty 15 Oct 2008 8:01 PM

He does have the kindest expression in his eyes!  I'm sending him hugs and best wishes.  Thanks, Bloodhorse, for keeping us up to date on Barbaro's brothers.

Tennessee Girl 15 Oct 2008 9:22 PM

Rick, what you say may be true, this is a site for folks who loved Barbaro and are keenly interested in his offspring.  Why soil it with comments about making money?  I'm sure there are other web-sites where money-making strategies would be welcome.

Ejay 15 Oct 2008 10:06 PM

Pardon.  I mean Barbaro's siblings...not off-spring.

Ejay 15 Oct 2008 10:09 PM

If you think the game is about making money, you're not a true fan. Can't wait to see Barbaro's brothers make you eat your words - - and your money.

PointGiven 15 Oct 2008 11:34 PM

wow! he's growing up fast. hope they take good care of lentenor down in florida. hope he stays safe and makes it to the races.

christy tate 15 Oct 2008 11:36 PM

My, how time flies.....He sure is a looker, isn't he? NICE conformation, well-balanced, and yes, he does look more like Barbaro than his brother does (although both their resemblances are uncanny at times.) That Dynaformer/ La Ville Rouge match sure is quite a combo. He really is a good-looking colt!

Shuvani 16 Oct 2008 1:22 AM

Dang, look at the bone in his legs.  I look forward to seeing him on the track.

Suzy 16 Oct 2008 3:31 AM

Rick - the point is this is a harmless site for people who do enjoy the beauty of these athletes and follow them just in the hope of witnessing greatness - not for any monetary opportunity.  So - enjoy your winfall and leave the site in peace.

pam 16 Oct 2008 8:53 AM

one last note,

the sport exists, i didn't create it. and let's face it, no bettors, no racing. last time i checked, dynaformer's stud fee was $150k...do you folks think the breeders of these two horses bred them to LOOK at them. do you think they spent all the money it takes to train these young horses just to take a few photos. doubtful, they were bred to run, or sire other runners. be sure to take note of why this forum exists for you folks to read and comment upon at all, WAGERING DOLLARS! there would be no BLOODHORSE, DRF, TDN etc. without the so called "blood money". who would care to cover the sport at all then? oh and by the way, because barbaro raced first time out @ delaware park does not mean that his extremely high profile siblings will do the same...

rick 16 Oct 2008 2:28 PM

i bet those beautiful women rick is speaking of dont give him the time of day once he opens his mouth.

mdfanofracing 16 Oct 2008 4:41 PM

George, George Washington was by Danehill. His dam, Bordighera is owned by the Jacksons.

mdfanofracing 16 Oct 2008 4:44 PM

I am not a bettor.  I like bloodstock and bloodstock consulting, that is where my interest lies.  I like info on these 2 colts, because more than anything, I think Carson City is one of the best broodmare sires there is.  Of course the Barbaro story is compelling, and I realize it makes people emotionally attached to his siblings. I agree, the tills are huge to the sport, and most of the other money comes from large investors/investor base, who know they are probably going to lose it. The problem is that disregard for the horses (or perception there of) is THE major issue holding the sport back.  The Barbaro story can establish a base for its advancement, which has been stagnant forever.  The fact that 2 of the 3 triple crown race records were set 35 years ago is pathetic...no other sport has progressed so slow.  It is the same old boys training the same way because the interest fo new investment is nullified by the fact the mainstream feels the sport is charecterized by the aforementioned comments.

Secondly, regardless of where Matz decides to run maiden, the point is the shortest price will still be 3/1 and the longest 20/1, like all other MSWs...and you won't know any of the entrants, anyway.

brettzky99 16 Oct 2008 6:46 PM

Rick,

I have never spoken with the Jacksons, but here is what I believe. The Jackson's believe all of their thoroughbreds are special. However, it appears that La Ville Rouge's babies are super special to the Jacksons. I am not sure if this began before or with Barbaro. It is quite obvious to me anyway that all of these guys were and are being bred to race and go the distance. Nicanor and Lentenor have not been bred to sprint. The reason people appear to be irritated with you Rick or at least me anyway, is that you are hoping that when Nicanor and Lentenor race for the first time that they lose and one of your long shots comes in first. As other bloggers have said on this blog, horse families tend to produce more than one very good horse. And horses such as Barbaro and hopefully his brothers rarely make money for the people that bet on them unless of course they don't win. But these powerhouse horses do make money for the racing industry and everyone should treat them as well as all racehorses with more respect and understanding. Taxing bets or winnings, both purses and on bets to help out thoroughbreds who have retired makes perfect sense to me.

And Michael and Peter, please give us an update on Nicanor. This speculating I do is beginning to irritate even me. I can only imagine what it doing to everyone else. I am even checking Fair Hill Training to see if Nicanor has had a workout. What are you trying to do to me, make me more thoroughbred literate or something...

Kathy 16 Oct 2008 6:57 PM

Let's not waste time paying attention to Rick or other money hungry gambling addicts.  Let's continue to enjoy this site as a tribute to Barbaro.  By the way, the Jacksons are well off financially w/o profits from horse racing.

Cassidy 16 Oct 2008 7:54 PM

I can't believe how handsome Lentenor is.  He looks more like Barbaro than Nicanor does.  All the best to both horses.  May God keep them safe and strong.

Chris 16 Oct 2008 8:30 PM

Wow Amanda. This blog is turning a little bit fiesty and argumentative. I like it! I thought that only happened on my blog :)

jshandler 16 Oct 2008 10:50 PM

Ignorance is not bliss. It's rude, disruptive and apparently catching. Huh Bart? Guess you guys did't see the title of this blog is "Tracking Barbaro's brother" not "attacking Barbaro's brother". Oversight or no insight?

Dona 17 Oct 2008 1:34 AM

To mdfanofracing - I'll give you the $2 for that bet. Know a sure thing when I see it.

Dona 17 Oct 2008 1:49 AM

Another beautiful brother in the Barbaro family. Regardless of whether Nicanor or Lentanor actually turn out to be race horses, they will be watched by many fans who will wish them safe and happy lives.

Jennifer 17 Oct 2008 2:30 PM

aww he's a cutie. i still think Nicanore looks a lil more like Barbaro but Lentanor has his kind eye, good luck young one

Meg 17 Oct 2008 4:07 PM

Let's face it, this is a blog soooo Rick and Art, you can say anything you want to say and as far as the BIG payday I presume that you both go to the $2 window as anyone can sit on their computer and tell all the tales that they want. My concern is for Nicanor and Lentonor and Lael, just want them to be the best that they can be, win or lose.

lobieb 18 Oct 2008 9:22 AM

Rick...et al -

I think it's more important to note that there are SO many ways to appreciate this Sport of Kings -- from your point of view and from those who appreciate the beauty of the athletes (that is, the horses) that compete.  As with any sport, you certainly want to take care of "the talent" the best way possible.  And of course there is debate about that.

But ALL forms of appreciation that exist make it interesting. So we are all in accord, just coming at it with different kinds of appreciation.  But I am sure we all agree, what's best for the horse is best for the sport.

From one perspective, I just love to see such loving attention on this good family -- Barbaro, the Jacksons, Matz, Brette, La Ville Rouge, Nicanor, Lentenor, Dynaformer and all the rest -- because they have brought love, excitement, quest for knowledge, and so much more to so many who would not have paid attention to the sport.

It's a joy to be part of the community.

Karen, PA 18 Oct 2008 9:53 AM

I have the utmost respect for the Jacksons and am so happy to hear that both boys are on their way to bigger and better things! This is a great line of horses, and I'm so happy that the Jacksons, Peter, Micheal, and the rest of the racing world has these two guys to look forward to!!

kk10 18 Oct 2008 11:38 AM

What a beautiful turned out colt he is. Has the look, same face marking, and kind eye that Barbaro had. La Ville Rouge and Dynaformer are really do good as a combination. Good luck Lentenor in your training and when you start racing.

Sharon 18 Oct 2008 10:19 PM

Actually,  anytime I see Rick at Rosecroft or Laurel, he always has a few hot looking babes hanging around- he's the man, ladies- eat your heart out.......

bart 18 Oct 2008 10:49 PM

My guess is that these guys were at the club house, either Rosecroft or Laurel, wining and dining, and someone brought up this wonderful blog of Amanda's at Bloodhorse.com. These guys then decided to check this blog out. Every once in awhile otherwise normal adults have this urge to behave 20 to 50 years younger than they actually are. I personally believe they will move on, so I for one am not going to bring them up again.

It is so hard to decide which one is cuter, Nicanor or Lentenor, so I guess I'll just have to adore them both.

Kathy 19 Oct 2008 11:26 AM

Rick et Al,

Thanks for stirring things up, but I don't agree with you.

I WOULD LIKE TO HEAR MORE ABOUT NICANOR! What is going on with him? Even if he's being fractious or uncooperative, I'd like to know. Then, too, if he lacks the ability we all hope he has, I'd like to know that, too. Then, too, I'd like to know if he's in good health and sound. Is that too much to ask? Please don't keep us in the dark.

R. Oliver 19 Oct 2008 12:54 PM

The joy these two beautiful young horses provide for those of us who are still mourning Barbaro is immeasurable. God Bless them and their connections.

MVH 19 Oct 2008 2:15 PM

What a BEAUTIFUL boy!! He looks alot like Barbaro! I just hope he can run like Barbaro! You can see that special spark in his eye! He was born to run!!!! He will bring home the Triple Crown, I just know it!!!!!! Best wishes little fella, I will be watching and cheering for you!!!!

angie 19 Oct 2008 4:56 PM

I am all for not running Nicanor as a 2 year old, but is he not training either?  I know he was being ridden on trails, but I guess I just figured he would train as well.  I hope that if the Jackson's and Matz have decided not to race him as a 2 year old, others will follow their decision.  Curlin sure has done wonderful w/ no 2 year old racing :)

Cassidy 19 Oct 2008 10:10 PM

hey rick,

you're right, but oh so wrong. you're insensitivity towards these precious animals is insulting and cruel, to say the least. bart, art, and rick, LEAVE US ALONE HERE!

jimmybc 19 Oct 2008 11:35 PM

It is almost November, is Nicky all right??  This silence is deafening. PLEASE tll us something!

Marigold 20 Oct 2008 2:23 PM

Several of you have mentioned that Edgar Prado made a comment regarding Lentenor and "believing in

reincarnation".  Where did that comment appear?  Was it during an interview or in a book?  His book "My Guy Barbaro" references his reaction to Nicanor and his feeling that Nicanor is a "very special horse."

Marigold 20 Oct 2008 5:08 PM

I think Lentenor looks a bit more like the Mr. Prospector side of his pedigree-he appears very delicately formed, whereas Nicanor tends to be more of the Dynaformer build.   I never got that Barbaro favored one side of the family--he seemed to have the best of both worlds.   However, I'm enjoying them both--can't wait for Nicky to make his start and Lentenor to (hopefully) make it there later next year!

Kim 22 Oct 2008 11:43 PM

Lentenore definitely has the "eye".  He is a beautiful animal, as is Nick.  I look forward to the chance to see them race, not to make a buck betting on any race, but just to see the beautiful athleticism of the horses.  Just as Barbaro brought us hope for another triple crown winner, despair 2 weeks later and finally the battle for life itself, we hope and pray that one of these two beautiful brothers will one day follow in their big brothers footsteps.  As Seabiscuit brought thousands together in trying  times, we hope that Nicamore or Lentenore will also write another galvanizing chapter to the Barbaro story.  Maybe one of the brothers will be this generation's Seabiscuit.

Janet 23 Oct 2008 12:02 AM

Wow! I love his face marking, it looks like an arrowhead.

Amaroq 24 Oct 2008 11:09 PM

to a beautiful boy who is a young prince you really look like your brother barbaro run fast run true but most important run safe and strong legs i love you and i am waiting to watch you race win or lose i woll always love you see you in the winners circle

margies 29 Oct 2008 8:16 PM

I've seen pictures of other foals and they are cute but not as perfectly beautiful as these brothers were as babies.  Lentenor had such exuberance and joy at being able to kick up his heels and play and romp, he's grown into a beautiful young man and I expect him to grow into a magnificent colt also.  The look he has gives me shivers, as if he's saying, "Wait til I show you what I can do!"

MVH 30 Oct 2008 4:04 PM

OMG what a Beauty.

Lentenor, you so much look like your brother Barbaro.

Be Healthy and Safe.

Take your time and pace yourself and listen carefully to Michael. He will just LOVE you.

Thanks Roy and Gretchen for allowing us to follow your wonderful horses.

Linda Maryland 02 Nov 2008 9:12 AM

Rick,

Of course horses are bred to race and win. This blog is not a RACING blog. It is a blog for admirers of the horse itself. Everyone else here seem to want the best for the horse and if he makes millions fine. If he doesn't that is fine too. We love the horse not the money. The Jackson's do not have to make more money. They are doing what they love. They love their horses more than they love money. You should go to another "Racing" blog. Your place is not here among those of us who have love for the breed, not the dollars.

I agree! He DOES look a lot like Barbaro! Maybe he will be the one to win the "crown" in his Bro's name! Best Wishes, my friend<3

Lentenor was in the womb of LVR when Barbaro was injured and his subsequent death, God knew the sorrow, love and agony felt by people for Barbaro. you put Barbaro and Lentenor side by side and wow, they look they same except for markings on the face. This is GODs way in helping us.  I am thankful...

Lentenor is absolutely magnificent.

He's so spectacular. If he never raced I could spend days on end just looking at him.

Beautiful.

Beautiful one soon you will be going to Fair Hill, wont that be great.  You will get to see your big bro Nicky and hopefully get to know him.  Lenny and Nicky together to become frens in training.  I feel you are so like your eldest bro and it will really be interesting to see you at work... stay healthy and injury free sweet one......

Lentenor is such a beautiful boy.  Can't wait to hear some updates on his progress.  Maybe next year he will be in the Derby. One can only hope.  Just stay safe and hopefully you and Nicanor can be stable brothers.
