Lentenor, the 2-year-old full brother to Kentucky Derby winner Barbaro, had his first officially recorded workout June 15 when he breezed three furlongs in :38 at Fair Hill Training Center in Maryland. The time tied three others for the fastest of the day among six horses breezing at the distance.

As his racing debut nears, Nicanor continues to work steadily at Palm Meadows Training Center. Jockey Edgar Prado will be aboard for his first start, which should come in the next two weeks.

On Nov. 16, Nicanor had his first official work since the beginning of July. The next day, he headed to Florida for the winter.

On the morning of the June 7 Belmont Stakes (gr. I), a race his brother didn't get to try in 2006, Roy and Gretchen Jackson's Nicanor recorded his first published work at Fair Hill Training Center.
