Nicanor, the 3-year-old full brother to Kentucky Derby winner Barbaro, continued to work toward his next start when he breezed five furlongs in 1:01 at Fair Hill Training Center July 7. The time was co-fastest of the day among five working that distance on the fast main track.

Lentenor, the 2-year-old full brother to Kentucky Derby winner Barbaro, had his first officially recorded workout June 15 when he breezed three furlongs in :38 at Fair Hill Training Center in Maryland. The time tied three others for the fastest of the day among six horses breezing at the distance.

After spending some time at Keeneland in Lexington this April, Nicanor returned home to Fair Hill in Maryland.

On Dec. 12, Nicanor posted his second work since relocating to Palm Meadows Training Center for the winter.

On Nov. 16, Nicanor had his first official work since the beginning of July. The next day, he headed to Florida for the winter.

Over the weekend of July 11, the group "Fans of Barbaro," held its three-day "Celebration of Barbaro," which took place at various venues around Delaware Park...and included a visit with Nicanor.

Nicanor worked in company July 11, and he completed four furlongs in :50 flat over the all weather training surface at Fair Hill. No date for his racing debut has been decided.
