While Lentenor continues his regular workouts at Fair Hill Training Center, his full brother, Nicanor, has been turned out and won't return to training until 60 days from when he was scratched out of the July 18 Virginia Derby due to a leg injury.

Michael Matz said this morning that Nicanor is still recovering from the bruise that caused him to miss the Virginia Derby.

Nicanor, the 3-year-old full brother to Kentucky Derby winner Barbaro, continued to work toward his next start when he breezed five furlongs in 1:01 at Fair Hill Training Center July 7. The time was co-fastest of the day among five working that distance on the fast main track.

After spending some time at Keeneland in Lexington this April, Nicanor returned home to Fair Hill in Maryland.

Nicanor made his third start March 28, and the 3-year-old Dynaformer colt finished second by a half-length to Glittermans Cartel in a maiden race at Gulfstream Park. Updated with more pictures.
