JAJ, Dynaformer is 17 hands. Eight Belles was 17 hands. Lot's of thoroughbreds are 17 hands. I think Unbridled Song is 17 hands. Some stallions throw size more then others.

Zenyatta is pretty close to 17 if not there, and she IS solid, like a brick house. I watched her in the paddock before her last race and could not believe I was looking at a mare. I think she's at least as big, if not bigger then Curlin.

What wonderful news to find when I got back on line after vacation! Hello, there, beautiful girl!

Many prayers to St. Francis for LVR's pregnancy. Healthy and strong for both daughter and mom!!!

Nicanor will do just fine this upandcomming Saturday..feel it in my bones....but, even if not, he will forever be #1 with me...win or lose Nicanor will be adored and loved...

Hey Ragsy...Rouge is fine with me. No objection but you know? The Jacksons will name her whatever they want so I guess all these suggestions are really for nought. I don't imagine they even read this blog. How do you like Fillynor for our little filly?

I'll try and post some pics of CHD one of these days. Greg J gave me instructions so maybe I can do it. Never done that before. My daughter was insistant that she not be any of them so I'll have to pick & choose. Church Hill is awesome!! The statue of Barbaro is unbelievable. The tour we took at night I can't even describe. They were getting ready for their "First Night of Night Racing". Would love to be there right now except they are through racing until the 1st of Nov.

I'm a little worried about this race Nicanor is enterd in on the 18th. Some really good competition. Just want him to come home healthy and happy. I'll definitely be watching. Nicanor #1!!

Dynaformer offspring had a great weekend of winners from the UK to USA what a horse Dynaformer is.....its a shame he is 24 years....

Dont ya think that MR&Mrs Jackson wants to carry on the "Rouge-Dynaformer" bloodline in the unborn filly and naming her after the Rouge... would be the way to go...kinda like.. carry on the tradition..whatcha think ...

In the photo's i've seen of Nic he looks maybe around 16.1 or 16.2. Zenyatta is 17 hands i believe, and as i said weighs right around the 1200lbs area. She is massive. I doubt Nicanor is that big yet, i don't think even Curlin was that big as a three year old and we all saw how muscular he was, the horse was huge. Also Nicanor has longer legs if i remeber right, which will give him the appearence of being taller and sometimes thinner than he really is. One of my thoroughbreds, i have two is leggy and thinner looking, kinda like a big arab from some angles. He is 16.2 and probably weighs right around 1150lbs or so. Right now he's looking like a stick of dynamite, which isn't bad unless your trying to ride him. My other thoroughbred is put togeather much differently. Like Majec, he is a very long horse, but he is a massive thoroughbred, some ppl have told me he at times looks like a tall QH. He is the Mike Tyson of horses, meaning he is massive. He is only 16.1, maybe slightly taller. If you look at Majec vs Tray apart, Tray looks bigger, just because he is so massive. Put them next to each other, to me it's still close but i can tell Majec is taller, though he is more refined looking, and looks even thinner when standing next to my bear, that being Tray. As you can see how a horse is put togeather can throw off your porspective height from what their actual height is.

Just thought I'd ask. I like Rouge to but thought her Mom's first name was also good.

The name of the hound is Sereno not Seleno. Not meaning to be critical but thought maybe you got the name wrong. If not, my mistake.

Did you read the name Fillynor for our new little filly? Think that is sooo cute. At least until we get a name for Babynor.

I believe that there was mention of the name Serano as one of the hounds in the painting, and that it had been skipped since it's already registered. Maybe the Jacksons will revisit that name as "Serena" which would be fitting for a filly.

Someone else made mention of Calypsa (as opposed to Calypso)... It's a pretty option, too.
