Have you ever seen an American bred horse whose pedigree doesn't just say he will go 1 1/2 miles, it SCREAMS it!! By a Belmont winner, out of a daughter of a Belmont winner, 2nd dam by notied stamina influence Kris S, 3rd dam by stamina influence Forli, 4th dame by speed and stamina influence Hoist The Flag. If this colt is even grade III placed, he will go to stud in KY and get every chance to prove a stallion as there are not to many more A.P Indy's left. To bad Zenyatta did not get a chance to go to A.P. Indy. Does anyone know who she has been bred to for 2014??

It is nice to see an owner with an understanding of the development of great horses. I know having a great amount of capital helps, but seeing an owner who truly loves and appreciates horses for their beauty, intelligence and developmental potential is a rarity and encouraging. It carries on the "Zenyatta" tradition. Mr. Mott is a fine trainer who has the best interest of his horses at heart and together who could wish them anything but success when they put the considerations of the horses first.

Wow!!! If he runs even halfway to his looks and bloodlines, that will be a sight to see. Have to keep in mind this is his first race and he's a maiden. Thanks for the story & photos.

Thank you for this article. I had read somewhere that Vertigineux's daughter, Where's Bailey, was sort of an ugly horse thus her $4,000 sale price. Then Balance came along and the word was she was well-balanced and a beautiful animal. Then Zenyatta came along and we all know what she looks like and how racing worked out for her. But, I could never find really good pictures of Balance. So thank you for the article about Mr. Besilu and the pictures of his dam, Balance.
