A far more aggressive responsive NTRA would be a nice start. Where are the NTRA models for the "new business model" that could be looked at and adopted by the skeleton staffs of the smaller tracks in their lobbying and organization efforts. The NTRA "could" be doing so much in so many areas. A good start might be an explanation as to why so much of this is being assiduously avoided.

I have some fear that this might cause the lesser owners and trainers problems but I feel that this is the way of the future.

People pay BIG bucks to go, park, eat and buy souvenirs and most never even think of betting on the outcome...and in New England we revel in the cold and a blizzard simply gives us the edge in the game.

I can safely tell my friends to come with me and have fun 'cause I never worry I'm going to see a tired, gimping "claimed off waivers" running back getting whipped down the back field or an injured player be killed behind a blue screen.

Follow the models of success in your industry. Learn from the models of success in other sports...especially like NASCAR...

Didn't Magna and Dennis Mills just have a large contest on just this question? It's my understanding that they received hundreds of suggestions. Don't any of the leaders of horse racing talk to each other for the benefit of the entire sport?
