It is wonderful that Zenyatta has finally gotten the national mainstream media attention she deserves. I thought the "60 Minutes" and "Overtime" segments were compelling, and I hope they will encourage thousands of new fans to watch the Breeders' Cup.

I will be watching Zenyatta on television, but I plan to watch Friday's races from the Breeders' Cup App on my iPod Touch, just for the novelty of it.

I'll take this opportunity to rave about the wonderful trip I had to Lexington and Keeneland two weeks ago. Keeneland was gorgeous, and the racing was all I hoped it would be. I even had a little luck at the mutuel windows, just enough to add to all the fun.

It's sad we never got to see the Rachel/Zenyatta comparisons settled on the racetrack because the Zenmaster would have run by her like she was tied to the 1/8 pole !!! There is no comparison !!!

It's truly heartening to read how deeply Zenyatta has touched so many lives. I, like others writing here, will be sitting at home (or, more likely, leaping to my feet) cheering for her on November 6. I don't think I'll survive the Breeders' Cup weekend. I've seen her live once each year - the 2008 Lady's Secret, the 2009 Breeders' Cup Classic, the 2010 Lady's Secret - and each time, good god, she gave me a damn near heart attack. How am I supposed to survive her swan song?

State of Nature 12 put into words what many of the senior citizens feel. After thinking about the role of Seabiscuit and Secretariat during difficult times along comes Zenyatta when our country is facing many problems. To see Queen Z race is breathtaking and heart stopping. I don't believe there will be another like her and her connections. Between them they have given racing a needed shot in the arm. I feel blessed to be able to have witnessed this outstanding mare race. SHe is a treasure! Win or Lose Zen will give her all. I pray for a safe trip and wait to see her babies.

Zenyatta has done so much for horseracing in the past few years and she has also on a personal level, done so much for me. She has given me hope for the future, a new lease on life if you will.

I will be watching her win her 20th race in a row in a style that is all her own-winning the 2010 Breeders' Cup Classic. I am so ever privileged to see her make history in horseracing that will likely not be repeated in this lifetime-she does what no other horse can and will be remembered forever.

Can't wait to see the big "Z" one last time ! It will be bittersweet however it all ends, because she alone has done so much for the sport. I'll be hoping, and praying she can win "1" more biggy, and then just maybe, she will finally get the respect she deserves ? GO ZENYATTA, greatest horse since Secretariat !

I'm driving 1300 round trip in a 3-day period to be there on Nov. 6th in the hopes of seeing history made by 2 great mares. Nothing else could induce me to do something that crazy.

Like everyone else, I too, will be watching The Queen perform. Although I have never seen her in person, a friend of mine has; and says she's about a perfect of TB specimen you would ever want to see. In my book, Queen Z ranks up there with Man O' War, Citation, Secretariat and Cigar. I will be watching on the 31st. to the special. Maybe finally, the world has taken notice of something special - we bloggers already know about. God Bless and God Speed to all in the BC, and may The Queen continue to reign supreme!!!

Interesting that the main stream media is just now jumping on the band wagon. Zenyatta's great fans have known all along how special she is. I am sure that all of these media gurus will stake claim to discovering how special big Z is and somehow make it about their network or magazine. Nothing like cashing in on a winning ticket. The exposure is good for horse racing but the motives behind all of these folks is based on money and greed. Nevertheless I hope with all my heart that Quennie can prevail and stamp her ongoing legacy into the record books.

I am sooo excited about zenyatta. she will make it 20/20!!! Will the BC be online? that's the only place i'll be able to see it. It's great that this wonderful filly is giving a beleagured country something to be excited and hopeful about. GO ZENYATTA!!!

State of Nature ... you said it in spades. No it doesn't really matter if she wins, it would be nice but as long as she comes back healthy is the main thing. Bad things happen in racing so I am just wishing all the great horses in the Breeders Cup at safe trip.

I will be watching the Breeders Cup nervously.Zenyatta and her team are such good ambassadors for the sport,she is such a happy horse and so loved it is awesome.I am glad she is being recongnized and bringing out all those closet horse racing fans who can now proudly say "I love horseracing".LOL!

Zenyatta, win or loose is the best. She is up there with Secretariat, Seabiscuit and Ruffian as an ambassador to the world of racing. Her trainer and owners have shown class and compassion that connects with everyone. I can hardly wait until the Breeders Cup. In the mean time, I look forward to 60 minutes and downloading the BC app to my ipad.

In a world that should be on Ritalin due to our horrible Attention Deficit Disorder, can we still embrace a hero? The media embellishes when it finds a hook on an airplane pilot with bravery or the rescue of trapped miners but are we as a society able to create legends anymore. Can we put a hero on the pedestal that borders between real and the mythical, I mean a real John Henry or Gandhi type of stardom. Or are we doomed to succumb to being so fickle that 15 mins is now the standard. When a hero is created is it not through our own goodness that we allow our attention to be grabbed and that need to believe in something good is what propels us to become a fan or even a follower. When we are intrinsically good-by nature then we look for the good in our world. So is in not logical that if we are bad we would seek similar to follow. So maybe we cannot create legends any more, good legends that is. Our leadership is corrupt, jobs are disappearing, the economy has become impossible to predict and more and more Americans are becoming stranded in web of fear and hopelessness that has mental health professionals working overtime. We need a hero.

On November 6, 2010 at Churchill Downs in Louisville, KY., on a racetrack better known as the "Twin Spires" a horse that most people in America have not ever heard of will seek to claim her title as Horse of the Year with a repeat in one of the worlds richest races, the Breeders Cup Classic. While this headline will go unnoticed in most social circles, and won't be water cooler talk on Monday, any athlete, animal or human that can capture the true essence of perfection deserves a place in our psyche.

In the Great Match Race at Pimlico Racetrack in Baltimore MD, a beleaguered America witnessed a smallish gelding with a blue-collar resume give them reason to believe in dreams again. While horse racing and boxing were among the top sports in America at that time, Seabiscuit captured the hearts and minds of a public that stopped everything to tune into the battle between the establishment of the east and the cowboys of the west.

The recent release of Disney's Secretariat revisits the time in America when we in America were searching for a new identity. Vietnam, political scandals and a diversity train that went off the tracks left us wondering who we really were as country. Along came a flashy chestnut colt, with a cast of characters who believed enough to wager everything for a chance for us to witness perfection, a Triple Crown, horse racings holy grail. On a June afternoon in Elmont, NY, all of America witnessed the dream come true, a performance of athletic perfection that a housewife from Virginia went all- in for us to witness. A feat of perfection to which to which we are truly indebted to all those involved.

Enter Zenyatta an amazonian mare(female) named after an album by the Police(rock band) that was produced by her owner Jerome Moss of A&M Reecords. Mr and Mrs Moss have sent the femle pegasus to the post nineteen times and she has returned vctorious every time. Her trainer John Sherrfifs, a brilliant horseman and humble spokesman for his charge, has remained vigilant that the horse runs the show. It is not about the money, although she has earned over 7 million dollars, it is about a serendipity between the parties involved that have shown the ability to reproduce perfection time and again. Along the path to perfection this animal has shown us winning is not about having the lead in the race, it is not about sex, and when the stars align magic is still possible.

In a world that needs a hero this amazing mare has done everything in her power to inspire us. It is up to her fans and those involved to spread the message the we are still capable of letting go and taking time to witness greatness regardless of the source. On Saturday Nov 6th 2010 we can only thank all those involved that have worked everyday to care for this perfection of nature and for sharing this perfection with the world.

would LOVE to see Zenyatta in person,but it's just not possible, so will be watching at home. hope she wins,because it would be something superspecial. Still, even if she doesn't,she'll be one of the best racemares ever to set hoof on a track, and possibly the greatest racehorse of the 21st century.

I will be at the Breeders' Cup on Saturday, November 6th. Ironically, on the day slated for the "boys", the two horses I am eager to see are the mares--Zenyatta and Goldikova. I have no doubt that both will win their respective races as they are in a league of their own!
