You set up a voluntary accredidation program with suggestions for improvement. I do not see this as being a great step forward.

It's a step in the right direction and I think that in order to have major races the tracks should comply. It's not going to be easy or cheap but we as an industry need to have these steps in place. We need to clean up our act and I think anyone who thinks diffent has their heads in the sand.

it is interesting to note here that NO member track has failed to meet the standards for accreditation. How can that be possible? Racing fans nationally know of the serious shortcomings of racetracks in America on major race days. This political stunt is not worthy of additional funds to be squandered on a gutless exercise of buffoonery. Why not a contest for the longest hot dogs and highest urinals?
