I'm sure o' brien will turn up with a few but bar goldikova and hopefully a couple of other challengers from europe in the mile, I think the real top horses might well stay away. I think it might well be a case of either or, not both.

there are so many late season races now around the world that compete with the bc. ascot, japan, hong kong, even melbourne. think the bc will need to do something to retain or regain its glory. real shame for me, as I love the bc and think it is a really special meeting.

The Brits make their racing seem so elegant - like it used to be here in the States many years ago. And how about Frankel? What an incredible horse. There have been so many wonderful horses to watch and get excited about overseas and I am so glad that publications like The Blood Horse keep up with them too. Wonderful article, Mr. Zast, thank you.

I loved it, it was exciting and fun, and I’ve been drawn into the Euro racing scene with the likes of Frankel, Goldikova, So You Think, et al! The Fall racing season has been the most jam-packed time starting with Saratoga in August and winding up at the Breeders Cup in November! I like it much better than the Derby Trail earlier in the year! And, now, we can add British Championship day to the mix. It will be interesting to see how this new racing feast fits into the already overflowing fall menu.

Any chance that any of the runners at Ascot will come to Breeders' Cup? Before QIPCO, O'Brien intimated that So You Think might.
