&lt;p&gt;I think your analogies to the team sports rings true. &amp;nbsp;What has made the NFL is the sports media, TV. &amp;nbsp;In turn the NFL has increased revenue for the broadcasts media with special (handicapping)shows like the NFL draft.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Horse racing would be able to capture a large audience if properly presented. &amp;nbsp;People love horses. &amp;nbsp;People love the excitement of racing. &amp;nbsp;People love the behind the scenes of racing. &amp;nbsp;If properly marketed, (not by having a cute little blonde show why she is not calling races), racing could build excitement with the series leading to the triple crown and the BC. &amp;nbsp;It would take cooperation of all the interests involved: the jockey clubs, the racetracks, the owners, the trainers, and the new queen. &amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;

Same could be said for our country, or any country. For example, let the scientists, and those knowledgeable without agenda take the lead in this drug issue-a path not taken by &amp;quot;the rest of the world&amp;quot;. &amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
