We must always cherish these two. If you ever question this place a child who is hurting near one of these great stallions Maybe this is God's way of reminding us of our own innocence and the wink a racehorse gives a child as he enters the paddock!

Enjoyed it very much. Refreshing to hear about an MD who is accepting of Natural Medicine! I'd like to also add another bit about jockey Tammy Piermarini: I work in the winners circle for Preakness weekend. In 2012 a little girl named Hope (who was also w/c bound due to a serious health condition) was a special guest at the event. Tammi had heard about Hope. At the end of the day, in the lady jock's room, she signed her crop and gave it to my associate and I saying, "Please make sure Hope gets this." It was a true gesture of the heart. She didn't have to do this. No press or cameras were present to record it. It stuck with me and every time I see her name I think of it.

Cecelia certainly sounds like an amazing young lady, and the bond she shares with her horse is strong, as her filly proved that day. Run for Cecila was clearly just waiting for her little girl to be at the races to cheer her on! One of my favorite proverbs is an Arabic one that proclaims, "the wind of heaven is that which blows between a horses ears." I believe this to be true and feel it whenever I am around my own horses. It seems this wonderful filly also demonstrates this through her love and affection of Cecelia, giving her the strength to keep her beautiful attitude and smile, while in return running like she never had before! The healing power of horses reaches far more than than physical healing. They somehow possess the ability to reach within you and heal you from the inside out. I have no doubt in my mind that Miss Cecelia will be flying around the playground with those boys! With Run for Cecila by her side and that wonderful attitude, she can accomplish anything! Good luck Miss Cecelia and to your fantastic filly! May you two share many more memory building adventures together!
