The preliminaries are over.
I believe that Gladiatorus didn't necessarily bounce from Dubai, as the winner of the race Paco Boy ran in Dubai as well and two other races afterwards. I believe it was the straight mile that was against the former. He usually develops a lead around the turn of his races and plays "catch me if you can". He couldn't do that at Ascot. I'd wait until he goes around a turn to wager on him again. Just my 2 cents.

I wish I would've known this blog was set-up last night. I'm 5 for 5 so far today! Caught the Tri in the first with Paco Boy being my key. I knew Gladiatorus was going to be overbet in that one. Scenic Blast just looked the classiest in the 2nd. Delegator & Mastercraftsman proved to be best in which I thought was a cold exa & very hittable tri.

Kieren Fallon had mentioned that Canford Cliffs was Rich Hannon's best 2 year old, and he sure proved it today. And what a year Hannon is having with his 2 year olds. 8/5 was a gift! And finally caught R. Hughes at 6/1 in the Ascot Stakes. I'm hoping he gets a 4 bagger today with Angel's Pursuit for who other than, R. Hannon. Hopefully the m/l will hold.

Is Canford Cliffs a monster or what! That was the most impressive turn of foot I've seen since Rock of Gibraltar

Now that Gladatorius bombed so badly (didn't like the course? didn't like the state of the turf? what?) are we going to have more questions about how long it takes to recover from Dubai? (Indian Blessing, etc)

Waiting to see what happens to Wesley Ward's babies.

Where else can you find G1 races from 5f to 2m 4f?!

Top class racing, beautiful weather (at the moment!) and the pomp and pagentry of the Royal Procession. What more could any racing fan ask for.

Don't forget that US fans can now watch the races live from Ascot (and plenty of other courses) through the Attheraces website(www.attheraces.com). The subscription is equivalent to about $17 per month - a bargain!
