So many fans today are younger and only know of the horses of today. They will never know the iron horses of yesterday.&lt;/p&gt;

One minute she&amp;#39;s improving and then laminitis wins again, just like Barbaro. When are we going to find a cure for this insidious disease? I watched Drover win his race and it was so bitter sweet. Thanks Becky for this walk down memory road, like Mrs Jackson said &amp;quot;Grief is the price of love&amp;quot;. So what if he was a gelding, HE HAD A FOLLOWING BECAUSE HE WAS A STAR, not because his sperm was worth money. &amp;nbsp;STARS are what this businuss needs right now, not sperm...the breeding industry right now is like the self inflicted gunshot wound to the head for horseracing, horses like KONA are the bandaids and you can well imagine it is going to take a lot of bandaids to cover the wounds, especially the sucking chest wound of racing, racetrack attendence!!!&lt;/p&gt;
