I should say "that's Mr. Porter's boy!!" I urged them to hold a Hard Spun Day at Del. Can't wait to see little Hard Spuns and wish Hard Spun, Mr. Porter, and Darley all the best. Hard Spun has heart and ability and it is wonderful to hear he is a breeding favorite! Go Hard Spun!!!!! I miss him!!!!!!

He was my absolute favorite in 2007. I never got a chance to see him race in person but was fortunate enough to see and get a picture of his sire Danzig in 2003 at Claiborne Farm. Every time Spun raced he gave it his all he was just so determined. I still think that if Street Sense hadn't had such an easy trip on the rail Hard Spun would have won. May he live a long and prosperous life and he offspring maybe someday get the Derby win for him.

re: Hard Spun Wins With Breeders

I loved Hard Spun in the Derby and in his three year old season, he was a durable runner that ran with the breeding he carried some incredible ancestry including poleynesian and St.Simon who had incredible endurance.
