A closer look reveals that it might be the best thing that could happen for him.

re: Yonaguska Should Shine in Louisiana

I'm excited that Yonaguska will be here in Louisiana. I think he will quickly take Leestown's spot. Y'all should check out our state bred program; our breeder's awards, at 22 percent, are second to none. Looking forward to visiting him at Elite.

Maybe Yonaguska is the one.

I know you are all probably getting completely fed up of me going on about Seattle Slew!!! But as Yonaguska's pedigree is totally free of Seattle Slew how about one of his Stallion sons, grandsons, great grandsons etc? There is plenty of choice!!!!

God Bless

Best Wishes

As principle for Rough Creek Genetics, LLC, developer of the Genetic Compatibility Index, (GCI) I can say with some confidence that Street Cry will be a great match with Yonaguska. We believe this so much in fact, that we bought a Street Cry mare last November at Keeneland which was in foal to Yonaguska.

Other good genetic matches for Yonaguska include Not for Love, Eastern Echo, Star De Naskra, Hennessy, Fusaichi Pegasus, Machiavellian and Rahy.

Here in Md, he did not escape notice. I am glad he will get increased recognition

I'm especially interested in how Ohio might benefit from "outside" blood and outcrossing.
