Think War Admiral ... Blue Larkspur ... and a Domino-line sire. Thoroughbred pedigree fans, you don't want to miss this.

Dominos Jber | Bestasiantour

Pingback from Dominos Jber | Bestasiantour

I considered the film a maudlin travesty.

re: Domino Delivers

This brings back great memories of reading this book twenty plus years ago. As an author who involves Throughbreds in my plots, it often comes to mind. I think Diane Ladd played the lead role in the TV series. It is a very good read. Very factual, and I still recall the value of the War Admiral broodmare. Wish some were still around !

re: Domino Delivers

I'm dating myself, but I bought this book new and still have it. It is wonderful and being a pedigree aficianado, it's very insightful and interesting. I have seen reruns of it a couple of times. It was at times overly melodramatic but as you note, the "everyday details" of a breeding farm were nicely done and surprisingly accurate for a TV production.

Domino Delivers

Blog trackback

re: Domino Delivers

Check out anything written by Peter Chew. This guy knows bloodlines.
