Mr.Jones, Hope Old Fashioned recovers well. I rescued a TB gelding last summer with the same injury that recovered nicely. Mine didn't have the surgery as I didn't have a couple of thousand to have it done. Horsemen were telling me that he would probably be fine without it & he is.

Is there any way you could post transcripts of the answers? I usually check out the site over my lunch break and can't play audio (it would disturb my coworkers). Plus, I can read answers a lot faster than listening to the audio.

I wished I can listen to the interview. There is no way I can do that because i am hearing impaired. PLEASE put up a written transcript of what was said, I have been Bloodhorse subscriber for more than 5 years and going strong. I would love to hear the replies of each interview that were done. This is the first time I have listen to a podcast from this site and I love it. I have been a fan of larry Jones since last year and I admired his honesty and character! Old Fashioned is a horse that has caught my attention! After the last race everyone seems to jump off him.This happen to Big Red before the derby! I expect a huge race in Old Fashioned next race and if he gets to the derby in healthy shape I expect him at least to finished in the top three in the derby!

To Steve PFC USMC, Oorah from a Marine Mom (I just came back from seeing my Marine come home from his second deployment) and God Bless wherever you are stationed!!!

On my way home I had a looong train trip so I downloaded the podcast...one, to kill time, two, because i like Larry Jones enough to sit through the loooong podcast.

It took me two sittings to get through it, though, and I'll really have to like someone to try it again.

Now that I have more time to comment on this ...

I always love Larry's interviews; he's always so awesome to listen to. I thought the whole thing was great!!! If I have to pick a favorite part, it would be the way he answered question #14. I'm a high school student with big "horse-related" dreams and him saying that if the Lord has put the desire in your heart, He'll make a way, really encouraged me.

Thanks, Larry! The podcast made my day. He and Cindy are not only my favorite trainers on the planet but two of my favorite individuals in the whole world, too, and they always will be. They've touched my life and heart in a very special way and they sure continue to. I feel so lucky and blessed just to be cheering them on!

I hope the Lord blesses them for being the special, wonderful individuals they are!

Great interview, learned a lot... Were lucky to have a guy like this in the game. I think Friesan Fire has a great chance to win. I especialy liked the part about the size of the heart and lungs and how he could determine what they had before the bidding started.

I HATE the podcast format. There should be a provision to listen or read. It is impossible to share a room with someone and listen to the podcast without disturbing them.....Plus, I can read a lot faster than the subjects can talk and sometimes, time is of the essence!

Thanks for taking my question. Hope you got to read the whole thing before the editor cut it down. I really appreciate what you have done for the world of racing even with the intestinal fortitude with which you have had to do it. The whole thing can't boil down to just competition of alpha males. :)

I'm hoping Mr. Jones wins the Derby with Friesan Fire. I learned long ago that falling in love with these horses is an invitation to heartbreak. But Fire is the first colt I've taken a serious liking to in a very long time. Hoping he becomes this year's big horse.

I am disappointed that there isn't a transcription of Mr. Jones' answers...I unfortunately am unable to listen to it at all, and I would think that some people could say it is discrimination against persons with disabilities (hearing impaired). I've been a subscriber to the print edition of The Blood Horse for 17 years (since I was 13), and would hope that you would decide to release a transcript (I would transcribe it for others if I could hear it, but don't have the equipment). I really admire Larry Jones as a person and trainer and am eager to know what his answers were. Thank you!

For Big Red - I've checked all the links and they appear to be correct. Can you tell me exactly the problem you are having?

It is possible that you may need to clear your cache.

In Firefox, go to Tools/Clear Private Data/select "Cache" (you may want to deselect anything else, if you don't want to lose saved passwords, etc), then "Clear Private Data Now."

In IE, go to Tools/Internet Options. From the General tab, chose "Delete" under Browsing history, then select the "Delete files" button next to "Temporary Internet files."

Really enjoyed the interview!! Mr. Jones is a class act. It's trainers and 'horse people' like him - along with all the great equine athletes - who make this an amazing sport (and I'm saying this as a new (well, since 2002 :-) ) and younger racing fan). i agree with mr.jones why dont't we try to do more to get fans to the races i live a hundred miles from the nearest track if i didn't have acomputer i wouldn't hear or get any horse racing news. there are no write ups in the news paper. why are they doing nothing
