I agree with your research on post positions. From what I have been reading, post positions 4-6 are coming in at a high win %. As a novice in synthetic handicapping, i will use the post position angle when I need something to hang my hat on.

There are some prominent horses that drew the rail like Zenyatta, Cost of Freedom, Munnings and Go Between. I guess we'll find out on Friday if maintenance does anything with the inside paths...

Thanks for taking the time to analyze for biases, you've produced some fascinating results...I only hope jockeys and trainers make some use of them.
