It's wonderful that you get to be with the horses at all - all I've got is my television set.

As far as dreamin', I too was disappointed that Curlin couldn't make it through the phony dirt, but have you ever seen him look better as he walked out of the paddock? Tlak about class distinction.

What a brilliant Breeders Cup with stellar performances from Zenyatta and Stardom Bound on Friday.Then on Saturday the promise of Midshipman and Donativum, the sweeping rush which took Conduit to the front and BC Turf glory and the sheer class of The Raven as Frankie overcame his demons to ride a near perfect race ad win the race he possibly most wanted to win after his Epsom Derby success on Authorized last year! The Raven was sensational and watching this ultra tough horse power down the outside to victory was such a thrill after watching all those gallant seconds to his now twice beaten foe Henrythenavigator! Is it being greedy to hope he will be back at Santa Anita next year to repeat the feat?

Maybe the best thing of all though was the lack of injury to any horse. Or at least I have not heard of any horse returning from the races with a problem. Two days of marvellous racing and lots of happy memories! Thank you Santa Anita!
