Ok, well soon after IHA was retired and the Japan announcement came, I quipped on Steve's blog that IHA will wish, "I wish they all could be California girls." Well, golly, maybe he'll just get his wish!

My spouse and I got the chance to have a quick tour of the Marchmont Cemetery @ Claiborne in July..When I saw the headstone for File, (Forty Niners dam) I said "Hey! There's Forty Niner's mommy!" To which the tour guide replied "Yes, and from what we are told he is healthy, and doing very well in Japan." I know it is not exactly an expose', but it is what I was told. Just thought I'd share it. :)

I really appreciate all the information on the mares (previously American) now in Japan. They appear to be thriving!

Kate H.---I almost made a similar remark about Carlos's suggestion, but was afraid it wouldn't be posted!

I, too, have tried to find information/pictures of Forty Niner, and have read that he is alive and pensioned. If possible, please post a photo--better yet, do a story. Thanks.

They should've purchased Octomom,Lindsey Lohan,Paris Hilton and ALL of the Kardashian girls too...
