It's very unfortunate whe a horse with such potential is injured before we can really enjoy what may have been.

Luckily the star that we've been searching for has run and won twice in 2010, to extend her lifetime record to 17 wins without a loss.

I haven't been searching, I've been enjoying.

Nobles promise is a good horse but may not even run in the Kentucky Derby. It's going to be all Eskendreya, By the way Jackson Bend is a good horse, he would have won the Fountain of Youth and the Wood Memorial if it wasn't for superhorse Eskendereya. Watch out for Lookin@Lucky, Sidneys Candy and Endorsement to complete the Superfecta Behind Dominant Eskendereya, I'm hoping he's at least 2-1 on Derby Day. will only get 1-5 on him for Preakness though

Draynay's been really quiet, he says that Esky didn't beat any horses going to the Derby in his last 2 prep races. NP hasn't won ANY preps and going by his glorifications of NP, he should've won AD by many many lengths, the only time he runs decent is when he's getting whipped by Lucky...I don't even know why NP is running in the Derby, he doesn't have any shot at all. I'd be surprised if he finishes in the Top 10. Lucky gets banged up, goes dead stop and runs like a freight train...and Dray says "well if NP is not running then Lucky will have his own way"...like NP would win the Derby.

I'd like to make a bet with you Dray, if NP finishes in the Top 10, I'll stop blogging here :), if he doesn't, you stop blogging and take some handicapping lessons (you can blog the proof you took lessons on here but nothing else) :) How about it ?

By the way what do you even know about Endorsement? What did you see him do prior to the SP Derby?

Maybe the fact that MTB came out of that race is influencing you? A closet MTB fan?

I think you have now picked 15 horses since the beginning of the year. NP DID not appear that 'injured' Minor if anything, from what I could see.

You were declaring it a travesty that Steve had LAL on his top ten while leaving the awesome NP off. If he was as great as you were hyping him to be he would have won on heart alone. Face it, you shouldn't give your pick until May 2nd, then you might get it right.

I think you SHOULD wear a pink hat, hide the pink dome, obviously you're getting too much sun.

My early picks (subject to change after post positions are known) :

Looking At Lucky : I just hope GoGo gets his head back together and rides him clear, it's not like he needs any more challenges when running in the KD.

Eskendereya : I do believe he is the real deal, until he loses, I think he's going to be a good candidate for the triple crown

Long shots :

Dean's Kitten : He's my longshot, I liked his race at TP, he moved pretty early on the last turn and continued to power home.

Ice Box : His late running style suits CD so I'm looking for him to fly late...and hoping I'd get him on a WIN or exotic bet.

On another note, I'd like to commend the Jacksons and the Moss' for letting their horses run even though the trend now in the racing industry is to retire them as soon as they win a G1. I think that's why the horses of today are far more inferior because they don't race for too long. There are sires that runs 2 races and retire and breeds. I can't fault the owners because in the end it's all about the money. I'm just glad the moss' and the jacksons are there to let us see these great horses race, again, even if they really don't need to. Queen Z and RA doesn't have anything else to prove, it's awesome to still see them race!

jayjay if the horse is injured and not in the Derby I will have to go with my second or third choice. LAL or Endorsement. The workouts will give me a better idea. But without NP in the race LAL should have his own way.

I think Eskendereya will win at least two of the classics - maybe three? Wouldn't it be wonderful after last year's early favorites withdrawn and the disappointment following that. I think we can learn to pronounce his name so it rolls off the tongue. Not every horse can have a beautiful and easy name like CURLIN! :-) bUT I am practicing. And this is not even my favorite horse. But I always think the best horse should win. And there you have it!

Dray is hiding because he hasn't figured out an excuse for Noble's Promise LOL.

Just like RA, he kept glorifying Noble's Promise. Like Winner14Derbys says, he'll start talking about how his NEW pick is and will probably deny he ever picked NP LOL.

Just goes to show how much he knows about horses, I think he analysis everything and depends a lot on statistics and run times. Sometimes, you just need some racing luck...doesn't every handicapper know that ??? :)

I don't see any bashing of Esky from Dray today...maybe because Noble showed that he doesn't belong and will not make any impact in the derby. Did anyone bet Dray to stop blogging if Noble loses ?? :)

I actually had Line of David in my trifecta...just not on top...it was a painful, painful day at the track yesterday.

Eskendereya reminds me physically of Zenyatta, possibly the two will meet in the BC Classic after Esky wins the triple Crown. Eskendereya beat up on a very good horse Awesome Act in the Wood. Aslo beat up on Ice Box in The Fountain of Youth. His only competition will come from Sydneys Candy, until Esky blows past him in the stretch, also Lookin @ Lucky won't be able to catch the hand wridden winner Eskendereya. Endorsement will give chase but Eskendereya is much better than Conveyance, who is a very good horse by the way.

Hoping Eskendereya (means Dominant Horse) will be at least 2-1 in KY Derby so I have a good chance at Straight Exacta, trifecta and Superfecta picks. So much for interactiff, nobles promise, they both flopped prep races. Line of David maybe would have a chance except for only 3 wks. rest, Eskendereya, Sidney's Candy, Lookin @ Lucky and Endorsement. Stately Victor won't do much, off 3 wks. rest, running on synthetics at Keeneland, he runs off the pace, by the time he makes his run Eskendreya would have already kicked for home, Sydneys Candy will be long gone, Lookin @ lucky will have made his move, Endorsement will also be in the hunt. Good luck on KY derby day to all of you bettors!
