I apoligize for the misunderstanding. I get so frustrated when others on hear claim that RA had it easy and MTB's trip was the worst thing ever, when in most races if a closer lost like he did ppl would just say well if your a closer you have to expect those things. I do not think MTB was a fluke, i'm not so dumb to have a fool made out of myself again, by saying that. I just feel that RA was a deserving winner and is the most talented of the two.

One thing for certain you're correct about,MTB sure as hell isn't a fluke! Many people don't have a clue what a real racehorse is when they view one.

You missed my point. First of all I never said RA had an easy trip and for the record I think both are extremely talented horses. My point was that in bashing a horse as a fluke who won the KY Derby and came within a length of beating what is at the moment the best 3 yr old in the country is nonsense. Give MTB his due. Wouldn't it make a better argument on RA's behalf to tout what a good horse MTB is?

To me and many others with family members actually suffering from Dementia, it really isn't a subject for a joke.

I have a sense of humor, but when one sees this day in and day out, it's just poor taste, kind of middle schoolish.

Many other analogous comparisons out there applicable to Draynay, yes?

Insulting people who are in horse racing isn't funny either.

We should all stick to horse racing, leave the insults out of it and settle it on the track. That's where those of us who own race horses can puff out our chests with due cause, or slink into the background when we run up the track.

I'm a medical professional. Draynay certainly doesn't speak as though he is someone Accelerated Dementia

He's able to relate stories about various and sundried horses, people, statistics as well as having a pretty good memory, both short and long term.

He seems to be pretty quick with the comebacks so it doesn't really seem like his thinking has slowed down. He definitely knows where to strike and what pushes peoples buttons, so he definitely exhibits moods.

Although a lot of dementia patients exhibit anger, are meanspirited and hateful, dementia isn't a requirement for that type of behavior.

I've read his responses, I've seen how he interacts with others, IMO he doesn't seem impaired to me. Frankly if he were runnning down the street, he most assuredly wouldn't be able to manage the technology of a computer.

The only symptoms of Accelerated Dementia which seem to even remotely fit him are,

hallucinations/delusion,

irritability, poor temper control.

However, that has been his modus operandi since day one on these blogs so if that is the true and accurate diagnosis he seems to be holding steady and not progressing to the other symptoms.

Also, those same symptoms would fit 99% of the posters on here at any given time.

If he has accelerated dementia (Did he suffer a brain injury? Newest link to Acc Dementia.)his symptoms are pretty isolated.

If, however, this is someones idea of a joke, it most assuredly and unequivocally is not the least bit humorous.

Breaking from the thirteen post, being rushed to make the lead, being carried four of five wide into the first turn, setting fractions like 23, 46, 1.11, 1.35, while having quality speed breathing down your neck doesn't sound like a very easy trip to me. Other than being caught wide and having to wait for a fraction of a second MTB did not have an horrible trip. His was better than RA. He pretty much got to sit off a hot pace and close. When you close from that far back you need to expect trouble, not that your going to get a perfect rail trip each time. RA beating MTB no matter what he is thought to be was an amazing thing to do.

1. Has 1 TC winner (War Admiral)

2. Has 6 Kentucky Derby winners

3. Has 5 Preakness winners

4. Has at least 4 Belmont winners (including his sire, Birdstone)

Now, let's look at RA's pedigree:

1. Has 1 Kentucky Derby winner(Northern Dancer)

2. Has 6 Preakness winners

3. Has 2 Belmont winners

Note that her sire, Medaglia d'Oro, finished 2nd in the Belmont.

Now, with this all in mind, who wants to seriously continue to call MTB a fluke?

Based on pedigree, the only Classic race that RA SHOULD do well in was the Preakness!

Who would the ladies cheer for?

The filly with the super rich owner?

The female jockey on the little gelding with the cowboy connection?

The guys who were crying (Dr Blach), passing out the roses from the garland, attending all the functions including the Alibi Breakfast (even Lukas, Baffert et al were there, which was great. Blasi was the stand in for Rachel's connections).

That would surely drive up the attendance and the viewers in lieu of a potential Triple Crown!

Seriously, Every time you post a comment it goes from Unbelievable to Outrageous, BUT your statement on Training takes the cake!!, You really can't be that naive, Can you??, I really believe you just write these idiotic comments for a response, Sad but True.

Horse training methods are as varied as the horses and handlers that train them. They range from strong arm - even brutal tactics - to the opposite end of the scale, gentle, humane and respectful. Clearly, the differences in horse training methods are vast and notable. It all depends on the horse and the trainer. All training methods are based on an understanding of horse behavior, psychology, and incorporate the latest scientific research on how horses learn. Training is consistency and repetition...knowing how to ask the horse to do something, then being consistent with it.

I am stopping myself, I can go on and on, BUT your statement, "What does a trainer do different from another? They walk the horse, they jog the horse, and they work the horse at 3, 4, or 5 furlongs." It is just a Un-educated statement, BUT then coming from you?, I should expect nothing less, lol...

My formula begins with the fact that everyone say RA basicly had a five length head start because of her wieght advantage. Well going into the first turn that advantage lowered to a one length advantage, when she went what looked like four wide to me. I was told by a trainer that every path to the outside is equal to one length, so four wide is four lengths, and five minus four is one. Next is the fact that she was running at least 12 lengths ahead of MTB on fast fractions. This now will give MTB a 11 length advantage over RA. Then MTB on the final turn was caught 7 wide, so he looses seven lengths, giving him a 4 length advantage. I took off one more length because he had to wait a couple strides. Even in the end MTB should've won the race because his trip was at least three lengths better than RA's, ye RA still won. Does that make any sence?

Please stop arguing with dray about Mine That Bird not being a fluke. dray is angry that he NAILED his beloved musket man and cost him a mint in winnings. dray is ego driven and it hurt him a great deal. This is a great board to read as long as you all are not being lulled into his platform.
