His domination in Japan, did not in my opinion come about because he was standing in Japan. Rather I think it is appropiate to note his one strain of the BLUE HEN Almahmoud(which is electric with ND mares),and his multiple strains of TEDDY,MAN O'WAR,MAHMOUD,BLUE LARKSPUR,SON-IN-LAW,the full brothers PHARAMOND II and SICKLE(1/2 brothers to HYPERION,all out of the BLUE HEN SELENE)And PHARAMOND & SICKLE'S 3/4 brothers PHAROS,FAIRWAY,AND COLORADO all contributed to his success as a breed shaping sire. He has yet to get a sire son who was as wildly successful as he was,but do they really have to to keep the sire line strong?Yet many of them them are still young, and time will tell. I loved him as a racehorse and I rever him as a sire and a future sire of sires.I look forward to watching the progeny of his sons and daughters march across the world and prove to everyone just how prepotent Sunday Silence was.

I don't know why stallions from the Sunday Silence line should not do well in this country when they have done so amazingly well in Japan.

I think that the problem in this country is a bias against the Halo line. I guess that the Halos have not been big sellers in the United States despite the fact that they have so many good racehorses.

I hope that this is a trend that changes, and I would like to see more sons and grandsons of Sunday Silence at stud in the United States, and especially in Kentucky.
